The more voices coordinated in this country, even at the state level, that speak out about what happened, and the lying, the cheating, the disinformation, and let’s be very clear about this.

“Early November we saw the first cases of coronavirus in China. It wasn’t until late January that they actually reported the facts to the [World Health Organization]. In the meantime, you probably have 5 million people who left the Hubei province, which is where the epicenter was located, and they went throughout China, they went throughout the world. That was probably the most significant mistake that China has made in recent years, and it’s the reason that we are where we are,” Huntsman said.

Huntsman said what’s needed is “transparency, a coordinated United States, voices in Congress, voices in the states, voices from the business community — because that’s when China really starts to listen, when it affects their economy.”

Huntsman served as ambassador to China from 2009 to 2011 after serving four years as governor of Utah. Huntsman also served as President Donald Trump’s ambassador to Russia before stepping down in August 2019 to explore a 2020 gubernatorial run.

Alameda County Folds, Allows "Minimum Operation" After Elon Musk Defies Coronavirus Order And Dares Authorities To Arrest Him

Update 1850 EST: It appears that Alameda County has folded to Elon Musk's temper tantrum, now stating that Tesla can "maintain minimum operation" at its Fremont facility, according to a press release issued moments ago.

"We have notified Tesla that they can only maintain Minimum Basic Operations until we have an approved plan that can be implemented in accordance with the local public health Order," the release says.

The county ended its press release sounding neutered: "We do not have any further comment and will not be taking any requests for interviews."

Alameda County said earlier that it had reached a tentative agreement with Tesla to re-open on May 18, but that Tesla wanted its plant to open a week early to "prep parts" for production. According to KTVU, the county disagreed.

This is apparently what led to the confrontation between Elon Musk and California reaching a climax of sorts, when following earlier reports that Tesla had reopened the Fremont plant despite not having permission from Alameda County in California, and despite California Governor Newsom saying he "expects the Tesla factory can resume work next week", Elon Spartacus pardon Musk tweeted that

Tesla is restarting production today against Alameda County rules. I will be on the line with everyone else. If anyone is arrested, I ask that it only be me.

Watch: Inmates Infect Themselves with Coronavirus to Get Freed from Jail

Los Angeles County, California, inmates are deliberately infecting themselves with the Chinese coronavirus in the hope of being released from prison, surveillance footage released by Sheriff Alex Villanueva reveals.

During a press conference on Monday, Villanueva released surveillance footage from the Pitchess Detention Center showing inmates trying to contract the coronavirus crisis. Subsequently, more than 20 inmates seen in the footage tested positive for coronavirus.

“It’s deeply disturbing,” Villanueva said.

In one portion of the footage, an inmate can be seen getting hot water from a dispensary that is available to all inmates. Then, the inmate walks over to a group of fellow inmates where they pass the bottle around just before a nurse takes their temperature.

Villanueva said the inmates were not only drinking from the same bottle to try to get coronavirus, but they were drinking the hot water to falsely show high-temperature symptoms of it.

“Under normal circumstances, no one would be doing that anyway, particularly when everyone has the same access to the water. … No one shares this,” Villanueva said. “Now, they’re sharing the hot water and using the same bottle.”

Other footage shows inmates drinking from the same Styrofoam cup and sniffing from a mask in order to infect themselves with coronavirus.

Villanueva said the inmates were deliberately crowding together and not social distancing despite being held in the relatively large space where distancing is possible.

“It’s sad to think that someone deliberately tried to expose themself to [coronavirus],” Villanueva said. “As a result of this behavior, from this particular modular, 21 inmates tested positive for [coronavirus] in a week of these videos being taken.”

“That is problematic because somehow there was a mistake in belief among the inmate population that if they tested positive that there was a way to force our hand and release more inmates out of our jail environment,” Villanueva said. “And that’s not going to happen.”

Since March 11, California’s Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation has released more than 5,500 inmates into local communities. In the last week, alone, nearly 315 inmates were freed from prison.

Mother Beat Adopted Son With Dog Chain, Chipped His Teeth With Pliers, Sheriff Says

Santa Rosa County, FLORIDA — Officials say 47-year-old Patricia Hyler abused her 14-year-old adopted son for years.

Santa Rosa County Sheriff Bob Johnson says Hyler beat the victim with a dog chain, cut him all over his body — and chipped his teeth with pliers.

Johnson says the boy was forced to sleep on a filthy concrete floor and she bathed him by stripping him naked and spraying him with a garden hose.

“I’ll be honest with you, as a father it pisses me off, is what it does,” Johnson said in a press conference Monday. “Somebody that can do that to another human is bad enough. But you start doing that to a child, yeah, we take it personally. We really do.”

“She abused this child pretty severely, but she took him out of school and home schooled him for two years because she knew that if she sent him to school, obviously, somebody would report it,” Johnson said. “So she kept him at home.”

Hyler is being held without bond.

“It was OBAMAGATE, and he and Sleepy Joe led the charge. The most corrupt administration in U.S. history!” the president tweeted on Monday.

Over the weekend, leaked audio footage emerged of Obama slamming Trump. The former president claimed that the Justice Department’s decision to abandon its prosecution of Flynn means that the “basic understanding of rule of law is at risk.” He also slammed President Trump’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic.

Loyal left-wing Hollywood celebrities have begun circling the wagons around Obama, playing defense as the #Obamagate hashtag trended on Twitter on Monday. Prominent entertainment figures including Ava DuVernay, Barbra Streisand, Patricia Arquette, and Jeffrey Wright have leapt to the former president’s aid, eager to downplay the gravity of the brewing scandal.

Filmmaker Ava DuVernay dismissed Obamagate as the artificial product of Twitter bots and then deflected toward the coronavirus. She also promoted the #Trumpgate hashtag.

Charges: Man Sexually Abused Minor He Met Online

ST. CHARLES, Illinois — Kane County State’s Attorney Joe McMahon has charged 50-year-old Ronald J. Lye with aggravated criminal sexual abuse, 13 counts and traveling to meet a minor.

Kane County prosecutors allege that multiple times since April 1, 2020, Lye drove to a juvenile’s home, picked up the juvenile, whom he met on a social media dating app, drove the juvenile to his Aurora home and had sexual contact with the victim.

Lye knew the juvenile was younger than 18 years old.

Lye appeared May 9, 2020, in Kane County bond court. The judge set Lye’s bail at $275,000, with 10 percent ($27,500) to apply for bond. Lye remains in custody at the Kane County jail. If he posts bond, Lye is to have no contact with anyone younger than 18 years old, including family members.

The Kane County Child Advocacy Center and the Aurora Police Department
