The exodus has started (once again) from New York and California to Texas. Conversation with set of such people went like this:

Them: We're moving to Texas!

Me: Wow, why is that?

Them: Everything here is over, we can't go to the theater or any museums, restaurants are closed, it's awful.

Me: Fine, but don't bring too many of your left-leaning views with you.

Them: Why do you say that?

Me: Why did you pick Texas? It's certainly not for the weather and you don't know anyone here but us. Why not go to another state?

Them: Well, my son can get a job there and I heard housing is cheap.

Me: Yea, and why do you think that's the case?

Them: Crickets.
