MOSCOW, May 12. /TASS/. Moscow will find a format of a dialogue in interaction with Washington to discuss the issues of historical memory, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Tuesday.

The Russian foreign minister earlier labeled as a "deplorable story" a report by the US White House that the United States and Great Britain had allegedly defeated Nazism on their own but said that such "things do not surprise him."

"This is the result of indoctrinating public consciousness, including, as it turns out, the consciousness of politicians," Lavrov explained.

"They have not developed immunity to what is disseminated by propaganda, which tries to equate Nazis and those who liberated Europe from the brown plague and blame the Soviet Union for unleashing World War Two," Russia’s top diplomat pointed out.

"Unfortunately, we do not have a structure with it [Washington] that would deal with historical issues," the Russian foreign minister said.

"But we will find a format with Americans, within which it will be possible to raise these issues and get to hear how they assess the current situation," Lavrov said.

In this regard, Russia’s foreign minister recalled a speech by US Vice President Mike Pence at the ceremony of opening the fifth World Holocaust Forum in Jerusalem in January this year.

"To the surprise of several thousand participants in the ceremony, Pence who represented the United States did not mention the Soviet Union a single time in his so emotional and pathos-filled speech," Russia’s foreign minister pointed out.

"And when the US vice president mentioned the liberation of Auschwitz [concentration camp] in his speech, he said the following: ‘When soldiers opened the gates of Auschwitz on January 27, 1945,' they were horrified by what they saw," Lavrov said.

WASHINGTON — Anti-Defamation League CEO Jonathan Greenblatt urged public leaders to speak out forcefully against anti-Semitism and warned of extremists exploiting the COVID-19 pandemic to target Jews and spread hateful ideologies, after data released Tuesday that showed more anti-Semitic incidents in 2019 than any other year over the last four decades.

In a virtual press conference with reporters, Greenblatt cast a sobering message that “violent anti-Semitism has become all too commonplace,” noting new statistics compiled by the New York-based organization that found 2,107 anti-Semitic incidents in 2019, including 61 physical assault cases, 1,127 instances of harassment and 919 acts of vandalism.

That’s the highest annual tally of anti-Semitic incidents since the Jewish civil rights group began tracking them in 1979, marking a 12 percent increase from the 1,879 incidents it counted in 2018.

US processing plants quadruple pork exports to China despite COVID-19 slowing down production by up to 40% and warnings of meat supply shortages for Americans

Meat exports to China have quadrupled despite companies in the United States warning of supply shortages for American consumers as the coronavirus pandemic sickens and kills processing plant workers across the country.

President Donald Trump last month ordered meat processing plants across the US to remain open to protect the nation's food supply but an analysis of government data has shown the plants have increasingly been exporting to China while Americans face shortages.

Processors including Smithfield Foods, owned by China's WH Group Ltd, Brazilian-owned JBS USA and Tyson Foods Inc temporarily closed about 20 meat plants in the US as the virus infected thousands of employees.

Nineteen states have reported COVID-19 cases at 115 meat and poultry processing facilities as of last month. Among about 130,000 workers at the facilities, at least 5,000 have been infected and 20 have died.

The closures and slowdown in production have reduced pork slaughter capacity by about 35 to 40 percent and beef slaughter capacity by about 30 to 40 percent, according to the US Department of Agriculture.

The closures of the plants prompted meatpackers and grocers to warn of shortages.

Trump Moves to Halt $4.5bn in Federal Pension Investments in Chinese Stocks

The news comes at a time of heightened tensions between the United States and China over the origins of the new coronavirus and response to the outbreak.

The Trump administration has ordered the prevention of federal retirement assets from being invested in Chinese equities, according to documents obtained by Fox Business.

Fox published a copy of a letter on Monday, in which two top White House officials, Robert O’Brien and Larry Kudlow, tell Labour Secretary Eugene Scalia that the administration wants the Thrift Savings Plan to call off directing $4.5 billion, citing "significant and unnecessary economic risk".

The Thrift Savings Plan is a 401(k)-style retirement savings programme for federal employees and members of the military. It was scheduled to start transferring its international fund in June into a portfolio that mirrors the global benchmark MSCI All Country World Index.

The latter captures equities in dozens of developed and emerging markets worldwide, including in China. It was reported in April that the White House came under pressure from Republicans to halt federal pension investments in Chinese companies like ZTE and Hikvision, which are on the US trade blacklist.

O’Brien and Kudlow wrote in the letter that the grounds for holding back the funds were the alleged violation of US sanctions laws by Chinese companies and China's "culpable actions" regarding the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Departing from the Board’s established index for the International Stock Investment Fund (I Fund) to track one that maintains Chinese equities is risky and unjustified," they said.

In a second letter published by Fox, Labour Secretary Scalia asked the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board, which runs the fund, to confirm the move by Wednesday.

It comes as tensions have grown between the United States and China over the COVID-19 pandemic. The Trump administration, including the President himself, has claimed that China was covering up the severity of the situation at the onset of the pandemic and had accidentally released the coronavirus from a bioresearch lab in Wuhan. China denies those claims.

Amid the spat, Donald Trump suggested on Friday that he could tear apart his hard-fought trade deal with China, which marked a partial truce to an 18-month trade war. He has earlier also threatened to impose new tariffs in retaliation for the pandemic, which has caused more than 80,000 deaths in the United States and caused a sharp economic downturn, potentially damaging Trump's prospects for re-election later this year.

House Democrats unveil $3 trillion coronavirus relief package

House Democrats on Tuesday unveiled their latest round of legislation to provide Americans with economic relief from the coronavirus pandemic.

The House is expected to pass the $3 trillion bill on Friday along party lines as Democrats seek to put pressure on Republicans to start negotiations for additional measures to contain the impact of the outbreak on workers.

The legislation provides additional funding for food assistance and state and local governments, among other provisions.

Senate Republicans and the White House have called for a "pause" before taking up additional legislation so lawmakers can review the impact of already-allocated coronavirus relief funds.

The House is also expected to vote Friday on rules changes to allow lawmakers to vote remotely and conduct committee work virtually. House Democrats are planning to vote on permitting proxy voting, which would allow absent lawmakers to authorize colleagues physically present in the Capitol to cast votes on their behalf.

A bipartisan task force has been discussing options for the House to operate during the pandemic, but so far no agreement has been reached. House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.), a member of the task force, told reporters on Tuesday that Democrats will still move forward with the rules changes even if they can't come to a bipartisan agreement.

"I've indicated that if we can't reach agreement that we will nevertheless present a path forward to ensure the Congress can do its duties," Hoyer said.

Afghan Officials Claim Taliban Aligning With al-Qaeda, Jaish e-Mohammad

Generals emphasize growing number of Taliban-involved attacks

Afghan military officials are playing up the growing number of Taliban attacks in border provinces, something the Pentagon had similarly claimed. They are adding a detail, claiming that the Taliban are fighting alongside al-Qaeda and Jaish-e Mohammad (JeM).

Though the Taliban had past ties to al-Qaeda, they were never directly reported to be aligned with JeM. The US-Taliban peace deal obliged the Taliban to sever all ties to al-Qaeda, and these contacts could be interpreted, if true, as a violation.

The US is already treating the putative increase in attacks as a violation, and Afghan officials who are not keen to see the peace deal survive are probably counting on that in these latest claims, hoping this will add to the growing mistrust.

The Taliban hasn’t responded to these claims, though they’ve been fighting with the Afghan government over its failure to deliver prisoner releases promised in the peace deal, and have faulted the US for not doing more about that.

Sembritzki is now the fourth multinational chief of staff in the history of U.S. Army Europe. The first U.S. Army Europe’s Chief of Staff from German Bundeswehr was Gen. Markus Laubenthal (2014–2017), the second – Gen. Kai Rohrschneider (2017–2018) and the third Gen. Hartmut Renk(2018–2020).

WHO Says US and Brazil Failed to Take Warnings About Virus Outbreak Seriously From the Start

The United States has the highest number of coronavirus cases globally, the only country reporting seven-digit numbers of infections. Brazil is also one of the 10 most infected nations according to the WHO. Its President Jair Bolsonaro has repeatedly dismissed the virus as just a "flu".

The United States and Brazil failed to take warnings issued by the World Health Organisation seriously right from the beginning of the coronavirus outbreak, Margaret Harris, a spokesperson for the international agency, told a virtual briefing on Tuesday.

The United States currently reports 1,298,287 confirmed cases of the coronavirus as well as 78,652 deaths, which makes the United States the leading nation in terms of both the number of infections and fatalities.

US President Trump has been repeatedly accused of downplaying the threat of the coronavirus infection, with his critics saying that he had missed opportunities in the early stages of the epidemic to introduce stricter measures to halt the spread of the virus.

Brazil has registered 162,699 cases and 11,123 fatalities so far, making it the seventh worst-hit nation, according to the WHO.

Similarly to Trump, Brazil's President Bolsonaro was accused of failing to take the coronavirus threat seriously by his opponents. FDA Fast-Tracks Vaccine From Massachusetts Company

The Food and Drug Administration has fast-tracked one biotechnology company’s in-development coronavirus vaccine. Massachusetts-based Moderna Inc. confirmed the news on Tuesday and said that it expects the vaccine to enter late-study early in the summer.

Moderna has received $500 million in federal funding to develop a safe and effective vaccine for COVID-19.

No vaccine or treatment had been approved for widespread use, but numerous companies have been racing to create them. Vaccines can sometimes take decades to make it from concept to market, but the enormity of the current pandemic has expedited the process considerably.

The FDA’s fast-track designation will speed up the review processes for Moderna’s experimental vaccine. According to Forbes, the company is utilizing new biotechnology known as “mRNA,” or “mRNA,” which, in effect tells cells which proteins to produce. It is believed that this new technique will make the vaccines quicker, safer and more effective.

In anticipation of successful human trials and the vaccine's approval for production, Moderna has partnered with Swiss vaccine-manufacturer Lonza. The first batches are planned to go into production in July with as many as a billion doses being planned in the long-term.

Moderna was founded in 2010 with the stated intention of discovering and development applications for mRNA. To date, it did not have a product reach clinical trials, let alone to the market.

Time to Perp-Walk Barack Obama and Joe Biden

This is something I first started writing about in yesterday’s Morning Briefing (which you should be subscribing to) and felt as if I wanted to explore it further. The direct involvement of Barack Obama and Joe Biden — and their constant denial of it — in the Soviet-style disinformation campaign to cast aspersions on the legitimacy of the 2016 election results is rapidly turning into a scandal that requires more and more scrutiny.

There are so many things about Joe Biden that I find to be tedious that it is almost impossible to number them. At the top of the list, however, is his mantra that he and Barack Obama presided over a “scandal-free” administration. He repeats it as often as possible, probably because it’s the only sentence he can still utter without tripping over every letter.

The claim is garbage, of course. Heck, Obama’s first attorney general should have been trotted off to jail while he was still in office. When that’s true of your chief law enforcement officer, there’s a pretty good chance there’s more rot to be found within the administration.

Those of us involved in conservative media during the Obama years were vigilant. Sadly, we were battling a well-oiled corporate mainstream media machine that had a half-century jump on us practicing their propaganda. To speak ill of the Lightbringer was anathema to anyone outside of Fox News. Any criticism was dismissed as being racially motivated. The Obama-era White House press pool acted more like swooning, fainting teenage girls at a Beatles concert in 1965 than journalists.

The phrase “The cover-up is worse than the crime” was made popular after Watergate and, while it may not precisely apply here, the spirit of it certainly does. Obama — the great unblemished lamb who brought “Hope” everywhere — hasn’t admitted to any direct involvement in the machinations of the Russia hoax, even though there is now evidence that both he and Crazy Joe the Wonder Veep were involved.

Obama may not have participated in a cover-up, but it is obvious from his denials that he was confident that the facts would remain buried. Why shouldn’t he have been? He left behind an intelligence bureaucracy riddled with filth like James Comey and James Clapper. He was probably hoping they would do the covering up for him.

Turkey Says Five Countries Are Forming 'Alliance of Evil' Amid Tensions in the Mediterranean

On Monday, the foreign ministers of Greece, Cyprus, France, the UAE and Egypt held a conference call, during which they denounced Turkey’s drilling activities in the eastern Mediterranean, as well as its military operations in Libya, conducted under a deal with the UN-backed Government of National Accord (GNA). Ankara rushed to respond.

Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman Hami Aksoy accused five countries, Greece, Cyprus, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and France, of creating “regional chaos” in the eastern Mediterranean, while trying to form the “alliance of evil”, after the foreign ministers of these states jointly slammed Turkey’s activities in the region, Associated Press reported.

“We call on these countries to act in line with common sense, international laws and practices”, the spokesman said on Tuesday, as quoted by AP. “Peace and stability in the region can be established with sincere and genuine dialogue, not through alliances of evil”.

Aksoy also accused France of “patronising” the purported alliance, while slamming the UAE for “hostility” against Turkey and insisting that both Greece and Cyprus were undermining Ankara’s attempts to have a constructive dialogue.

The spokesman’s comments came following the teleconference between the foreign ministers of five states on Monday, during which they discussed Turkey’s drilling activities in the disputed offshore area near Cyprus, as well as its military activities in Libya.

Ankara does not recognise the government of the Republic of Cyprus and is the only state in the world to recognise the existence of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, following the island's split in 1974.

Last year, it signed a deal on maritime boundaries in the Mediterranean Sea and agreement on military cooperation with the internationally-recognised and UN-backed Libyan government. The border delineation agreement was deemed “illegal” by some nations, including Egypt, as Turkey moved forward with gas drilling activities in the disputed zone of eastern Mediterranean, something which is strongly objected to by Greece and Cyprus, as the latter argues that it has exclusive economic rights in the area.

Can We Stop With the Deceptive Media Clips That Carry Water for the CCP?

Chuck Todd took a pretty big hit for deceptively editing comments from Attorney General Bill Barr. However, this was not the only media hackery this weekend. 60 Minutes also went full propaganda Sunday night.

In the montage, they did a neat selective cut of President Trump talking about disinfectant as support for saying the administration has been continually challenging science. President Trump has repeatedly deferred to Dr. Fauci and Dr. Birx during the last several months. Both experts have also said the president has listened to their input.

Then they flashback to the president’s comments during the State of the Union address. At the time, China had allowed a team of scientists, including some from the U.S., very limited ability to investigate the origins of COVID-19. That was the last time international experts were allowed to investigate at all. They contrast this with the president’s more recent comments and leave the impression his change in attitude was because of the increasing number of cases and deaths in the United States. Quite a leap there.

First of all as on a per million basis, the United States has one of the lowest rates of death. Dr. Deborah Birx has recently voiced skepticism that it is possible our counts may be inflated, making it even lower. The United States has also conducted more tests than any other nation on a larger population, so the number of confirmed cases is going to be higher. Attributing a change in the attitude of the president or his foreign policy team to this is ludicrous on its face.

Rather, the timeline of events in China has become clearer. Using documents and publications coming out of the country, the initial case of COVID-19 was at least as early as November 17, 2019. As of late January, scientists were already exploring other theories about how the virus originated. Several early patients had no contact at all with the wet market blamed by the CCP for the outbreak. This was based on a Chinese study of the first 41patients.

As information that a high-security lab was located a mere few hundred feet from the market became public, Senator Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) began questioning the origins of the virus. He was immediately branded a conspiracy theorist for suggesting it was a lab created bioweapon. He clarified several times it could have been a natural virus being studied that was accidentally released, but the media ignored the clarification.

New Normal: California Gov. Newsom to Give $75 Million to Illegals for Coronavirus Relief – Without Legislative Approval

Finally, a man who understands the new normal. California Governor Gavin Newsom.

He understands that the new normal means government by fiat and executive decree.

But there are always carping critics.

Judicial Watch, for instance, filed a lawsuit in the Superior Court of California County of Los Angeles on behalf of two California taxpayers, Robin Crest and Howard Myers, asking the court to stop the state from expending $75 million of taxpayer funds to provide direct cash assistance to unlawfully present aliens (Crest et al. v. Newsom et al. (No. 20STCV16321)).

The lawsuit alleges Governor Newsom overstepped his authority and violated federal law when, without affirmative state legislative approval, he took executive action to create the “Disaster Relief Assistance for Immigrants Project” and provide cash benefits to illegal aliens who are otherwise ineligible for state or federal unemployment insurance or other benefits.

The reason they cannot get state or federal monies for coronavirus is, unfortunately, due solely to the fact that they are in the USA unlawfully.

That is they sneaked in without bothering to go through immigration – or they stayed after they agreed to leave when they were first permitted to come here.

But no matter, on April 15, 2020, Governor Newsom announced his new executive initiative – which is to provide direct assistance in the form of cash benefits to some 150,000 illegal aliens in the state he now runs.

The money will come from taxpayers in the state.

The initiative, known as the “Disaster Relief Assistance for Immigrants Project,” would spend $75 million to provide direct cash payments to illegal aliens and cost an additional $4.8 million to administer.

Governor Newsom’s executive initiative would provide one-time cash benefits of $500 per adult / $1,000 per household to 150,000 unlawfully present aliens in California. These benefits are not provided to U.S. citizens residing in the state.

You have to be illegally in the US to qualify.

Under federal immigration law, 8 U.S.C. § 1621(a), unlawfully present aliens generally are ineligible for State or local public benefits. Section 1621(d) requires a state legislature to enact a state law which affirmatively provides for such benefits for illegal aliens:

A State may provide that an alien who is not lawfully present in the United States is eligible for any State or local public benefit … only through the enactment of a State law … which affirmatively provides for such eligibility.

The lawsuit alleges that the California State Legislature has not enacted any law that affirmatively provides that unlawfully present aliens are eligible for the $75 million of cash public benefits announced by Newsom.

In order to get the illegals $75 million, it will cost the state almost $5 million to administer the funds.

Dyer is Russian Orthodox, converted from Protestantism by way of Trad Catholic, and Roosh is Armenian Orthodox.

The last half hour is devoted to answering viewers' questions during the live stream, and it is interesting that most of them were about Christianity.

1.) Dr. Fauci says he warned Trump in January that the US was in real trouble but that is not what he said publicly.

In January Dr. Anthony Fauci told Newsmax TV that the United States “did not have to worry” about the coronavirus and that it was “not a major threat.”

2.) Dr. Fauci warned of an apocalyptic coronavirus pandemic — then just weeks later he compared the coronavirus to a bad flu.

3.) Dr. Fauci based all of his predictions on the garbage IHME models that were OFF BY MILLIONS and then later told reporters, “You can’t really rely on models.”

4.) On March 20th Dr. Fauci jumped in and “corrected” the president during a press briefing on hydroxychloroquine treatment for coronavirus saying, “You got to be careful when you say ‘fairly effective.’ It was never done in a clinical trial… It was given to individuals and felt that maybe it worked.”

Exactly two weeks later hydroxychloroquine was deemed the most highly rated treatment for the novel coronavirus in an international poll of more than 6,000 doctors.

5.) Dr. Fauci pushed these garbage models every step of the way.

A month ago Dr. Fauci claimed 1 million to 2 million Americans would die from coronavirus. Then he said 100,000 to 200,000 Americans will die from the virus. Three weeks ago he agreed 81,766 Americans would die from the coronavirus. Then by that Wednesday the experts cut the number of deaths to 60,415 projected deaths.

6.) On Easter Dr. Fauci suggested President Trump should have shut down the economy in February… When the number of known cases in the US was around 100. Fauci later walked back his attacks.

7.) Dr. Fauci said cruises were OK on March 9th. That was a huge error.

8.) Dr. Fauci said malls, movies and gyms were OK on February 29th. That was another huge mistake.

A World Health Crisis? – So Ramp Up Confrontation and Deploy Nuclear Bombers

The focus of the latest barbs is aimed at convincing the western world that China is responsible for the spread of Covid-19 – what the President of the United States and his Secretary of State refer to as the “China virus” – and it is not surprising that the major outlet for the latest Goebbels’ gambols is News Corp [sic; chaired by the egregious Rupert Murdoch] whose Australian Saturday Telegraph headlined on 4 May that “China deliberately suppressed or destroyed evidence of the coronavirus outbreak in an ‘assault on international transparency’’ that cost tens of thousands of lives, according to a dossier prepared by concerned Western governments on the COVID-19 contagion. The 15-page research document, obtained by The Saturday Telegraph, lays the foundation for the case of negligence being mounted against China.”

The report was given much cover by Fox News in the U.S. (owned and directed by Rupert Murdoch) which noted that “A research dossier compiled by the so-called ‘Five Eyes’ intelligence alliance, that reportedly concludes China intentionally hid or destroyed evidence of the coronavirus pandemic, is consistent with U.S. findings about the origins of the outbreak so far, senior U.S. officials told Fox News on Saturday [ May 2].” The reporter who produced the Telegraph story, ‘National Political Editor’ Sharri Markson, declared on Fox News next day that “It’s very clear from this 15-page dossier that has been prepared by concerned western governments that China deliberately covered up evidence of the virus early on in a pure case of negligence… this directly contributed to thousands, tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands of people getting sick and dying.”

It was utter nonsense, of course, and was therefore seized upon by the UK’s gutter tabloid the Daily Mail which informed its millions of readers that “Bombshell ‘Five Eyes’ Western intelligence dossier claims China lied about coronavirus.” To give them their due, the majority of the UK media declined to spread such garbage, but the stink has lingered in spite of the revelation on 7 May that “Australia has determined the report is not a Five Eyes intelligence document. It is not believed to include original intelligence from human sources or electronic intercepts.” Of course not. But that doesn’t matter to the propaganda-meisters who scored a victory over truth and decency.

Australian Treasurer Josh Frydenberg tested for COVID-19 after coughing fit in parliament

Federal Treasurer Josh Frydenberg is isolating himself and awaiting the results of a COVID-19 test after breaking into a cough during his economic address to parliament.

Mr Frydenberg was delivering his ministerial statement when he began to cough, interrupting his statement six times as he sought to catch his breath.

In a statement this afternoon Mr Frydenberg said as a matter of precaution he will isolate while he awaits test results.

"Today while delivering my ministerial statement I had a dry mouth and a cough," said Mr Frydenberg.

"After question time I sought the advice of Deputy Chief Medical Officer (DCMO). The DCMO advised me that out of an abundance of caution it was prudent I be tested for COVID-19.

"Following the receipt of his advice I immediately left Parliament House to be tested and will await the result in isolation.

NY Reports 93 Children Sick With 'Mysterious COVID-19-Linked Respiratory Syndrome'

NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio and NY Gov Andrew Cuomo have repeatedly warned about the growing number of children affected by a mysterious, possibly COVID-19-linked respiratory syndrome this week, and Newsday reported Tuesday afternoon that the number of children infected statewide has climbed to 93.

The harrowing report claimed 2 to 3 children have arrived at one Long Island hospital 'daily' in recent weeks, all of them suffering from severe inflammatory symptoms that required immediate admission to the ICU.

Two to three children are coming into one Long Island hospital daily with an inflammatory disease thought to be tied to COVID-19, health care officials said Monday.

Most of these young patients are so ill, they are immediately put into the intensive care unit at Cohen Children’s Medical Center, said Dr. James Schneider, chief of pediatric critical care medicine at the center in New Hyde Park. He said more than 30 patients have been admitted with what is being called "pediatric multi-system inflammatory syndrome associated with COVID-19."

Hospitals across the state by Monday had reported 93 cases of the illness, which can cause inflamed muscles and breathing problems, state officials said.

Experts who spoke with Newsday said the most popular theory is that the syndrome is likely an "overreaction" to the virus that causes COVID-19, a not-uncommon reaction to viral infection in some susceptible children.

Health experts believe the illness could be the body’s overreaction to COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus.

Parents should be on the lookout for symptoms that include a persistent high fever, rash, belly pain and vomiting. In general, most of the patients are healthy kids who didn't know they had COVID-19 and later tested positive for antibodies, Schneider said.

Schneider said he isn’t surprised these cases have been popping up in recent weeks based on early information about the syndrome.

"This phenomenon starts weeks after infection," he said. "It all makes sense that now they are showing up - at least from what we think we understand about this illness."
