Sure. You're aware that much of America - indeed, the world - is semi-literate, right?

"Sodomy" will be understood by many. "Anal rape" will be understood by even more. "Ass rape" or "butt fucking" would be understood pretty universally.

If we want to communicate so that everyone understands what has happened, we have to use words that convey their meaning so forcefully that it is difficult to misunderstand what is being said. While that isn't possible in the theoretical sense, we can come a whole lot closer to universal comprehension than "molestation and sodomy."

The outdoor range where I shoot is not far from Ft. Bragg. Sometimes the "big boys" fly over so low and slow you could almost toss the pilot a sandwich. It's really something to have them fly over at about 200 yds. They are well within range for most of us, but I could hardly think of a safer place for them to be.
