I've thought this forever:

When the people get up to the podium at press conferences (doesn't matter what the topic is)

-Usually it's an important person-

The camera shot includes someone doing sign language.

Mostly/entirely for the deaf, right?

I don't know much about sign language past the ABC's, but I'm 100% sure what's being said is NOT being conveyed properly.

It's more like a translation. An interpretation. And not a good one.

 

It's like EVERY TIME, you know the words are getting twisted or spun.

 

I would like to see some side-by-sides of a news conference where [someone honest who is fluent enough in sign language to understand everything] can verify

 

Shit bothers the hell out of me when I see the signer thinking about what to sign.

Just fuckin sign it bitch, don't lie to the deaf.
