Madagascan President Andry Rajoelina has officially launched a medicine he believes can prevent and cure patients suffering from COVID-19.

Developed by the Malagasy Institute of Applied Research and branded COVID Organics, President Rajaolina presented the so-called remedy to the press on Monday. It contains Artemisia, a plant cultivated on the Big Island to fight against malaria.

“All trials and tests have been conducted and its effectiveness in reducing the elimination of symptoms has been proven for the treatment of patients with COVID-19 in Madagascar,” the president said.

A presidential decree said COVID-organics is mandatory for children returning to school on Wednesday. President Rajaolina said Monday that it had cured two COVID-19 cases.

Artemisia annua to be tested against coronavirus

An international collaboration will conduct laboratory cell studies with plant extracts

The Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces, Potsdam (Germany) will collaborate with ArtemiLife Inc., a US based company and medical researchers in Denmark and Germany to test Artemisia annua plant extract and artemisinin derivatives in laboratory cell studies against the novel coronavirus Sars-CoV-2.

Currently, there are no effective treatments against Covid-19. Medications commonly used against malaria or Ebola, as well as antiviral drugs, are being considered for repurposing. Herbal treatments used in Traditional Chinese Medicine were explored to treat coronavirus infections during the Sars-CoV and Mers-CoV outbreaks. Initial studies in China showed the alcoholic extract of sweet wormwood (Artemisia annua) was the second most potent herbal medicine used on the 2005 Sars-CoV.

"I am excited about the international collaboration of academic and private sector scientists to conduct cell study testing of Artemisia annua against coronavirus.” said Peter H. Seeberger, Director at the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces in Potsdam.

Covid-19 is caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (Sars-CoV-2), a positive-sense single-stranded RNA virus that is contagious in humans. Like the Sars-related coronavirus strain implicated in the early 2000’s Sars outbreak, Sars-CoV-2 is a member of the same subgenus. Sars-CoV-2 is unique among known beta-coronaviruses in its incorporation of a polybasic cleavage site, a characteristic known to increase pathogenicity and transmissibility in other viruses.

Artemisia annua extracts show very little toxicity

The Antiviral Activities of Artemisinin and Artesunate

https://academic.oup.com/cid/article/47/6/804/325924

Abstract

Traditional Chinese medicine commands a unique position among all traditional medicines because of its 5000 years of history. Our own interest in natural products from traditional Chinese medicine was triggered in the 1990s, by artemisinin-type sesquiterpene lactones from Artemisia annua L. As demonstrated in recent years, this class of compounds has activity against malaria, cancer cells, and schistosomiasis. Interestingly, the bioactivity of artemisinin and its semisynthetic derivative artesunate is even broader and includes the inhibition of certain viruses, such as human cytomegalovirus and other members of the Herpesviridae family (e.g., herpes simplex virus type 1 and Epstein-Barr virus), hepatitis B virus, hepatitis C virus, and bovine viral diarrhea virus. Analysis of the complete profile of the pharmacological activities and molecular modes of action of artemisinin and artesunate and their performance in clinical trials will further elucidate the full antimicrobial potential of these versatile pharmacological tools from nature.

In fact, artemisia annua extract IS an effective treatment against COVID. Here we have a traditional pharma company looking into it. This may be a sign that the Cabal is no longer fully in control of the Pharma industry and some companies are about to break with the past.

Persicaria hydropiper

Waterpepper is a Eurasian plant that grows widely in drainage ditches and damp places in the USA.

It has uses in traditional medicine to heal respiratory ailments. The plant contains many sesquiterpenes and quercetins. This suggests that it could be used together with Zinc to treate respiratory viruses.

Quercetin is a zinc ionophore which helps zinc get into the cells where it can work.

All of this is speculative, but anyone interested in investigating this herb should start with this pharmacological analysis attached as a PDF
