Went to So Cal beach today, a few positive signs people pushed back, just a little.
The west sidewalk that had been closed, with police making U turns up and down the strand chasing people away from it, was open.
The west sidewalk parking was still blocked.
There were still security guards at the tops of the ramps, but people were being allowed to go down the ramps to the beach.
They had shut down the beach. Hard. Aggressively patrolled. I think they got spooked by the Huntington Beach people, who looked full ready to riot at the idiocy of closing a beach for coronavirus, and arresting men in paddleboats, alone, on the ocean.
Signs of hope.
