i think we are overlooking something about the chess q post

he talks about queen protects king, and going after the king middle-end.

People take that to mea its near the end, and they are right …

but think about this:

you only start going for the king near the end, when you know they have damn few moves left, and they are very limited in what they can do. You FORCE the queen to protect the king. You FORCE the opponent to donthings they don't want to do, because if they don't, its game over. Its a point at which the opponent is fallen but is delaying the inevitable. Q is now FORCING the DS's hands.
