About this video purporting to show a 5G hardware component with "COV-19" stamped on it:

HOAX VIDEO OF COVID-19 5G TOWER BOARD CIRCULATING

Come on folks, we don't need this crap. Youtube won't delete it because it is fake and discrediting.

Here's what's wrong with the board. First of all, the basics: It's not the type of board that would go in a climate exposed tower. The type of board that goes in such locations has a conformal coating that protects all components from the weather and will protect it and keep it running even if it is fully immersed in water. It is the wrong circuit type.

Second problem: There are display LED's on the board, and for the type of application a tower would use, they'd be pointing up, not forward. This board is for a device that is visible from the front, and accessible from the back. If it was for a cell tower, any indicators and connectors would be at most 90 degrees different, not 180. Home electronics are 180 because you don't want to see the connectors, just the display. Pro electronics are not that way at all, you see both at once. That alone proves this is a consumer item and not anything that would be for commercial use.

Third problem: The RF output is for direct connection to another device, not an antenna. If it was for a transmitting antenna of the type needed for 5G, it would be accompanied by a circuit that had an ultra stabilizing heat sink that weighed at least 5 pounds.

4th problem: If it was only the processor board, it's not robust enough for the application. 5G is for moving an enormous pile of data to multiple people at once, and I don't think what looks like a 32 bit processor running megahertz would do that. In fact, I know it won't.

5th problem: There are only 3 board stand offs and no external ground planes going to the board. It's not supported well enough or grounded well enough to be stable enough for commercial use.

Most likely candidate for that particular board: A satellite box, early 2000's vintage. If that's not the case, 5G is pre planned to be so temporary and cheaply made that it won't have a life span more than six months. And the display pointing forward basically cinches it, even if 5G was being done cheap enough to skip the conformal coatings and other details the display would still face up, not forward.

CONCLUSION: IT IS NOT A 5G BOARD.
