Transcripts: Clinton Aides Allied With Fusion GPS Pair After Election – to Re-Push Anti-Trump Dossier

Top officials with the Hillary Clinton campaign re-engaged with the opposition researchers behind the Steele dossier just three weeks after Donald Trump’s inauguration, newly declassified congressional witness transcripts reveal, indicating her campaign’s participation in an ongoing and well-funded effort to undermine the president by casting him as a tool of the Kremlin.
Clinton's campaign chair John Podesta testified that he met on Feb. 10, 2017, with Daniel Jones, a former aide to California Sen. Dianne Feinstein, and Glenn Simpson and his partner Peter Fritsch of Fusion GPS. In separate testimony, Clinton’s senior foreign policy adviser Jake Sullivan revealed he also participated in the meeting. The Clinton campaign had funneled money through a law firm, Perkins Coie, to pay Fusion to compile the now-discredited dossier which was a prime driver of the Trump-Russia conspiracy theories – and FBI investigations – that have shadowed his administration.
“They were interested in trying to raise money to continue their efforts to investigate the Russian interference in the campaign,” Podesta told the House Intelligence Committee in December 2017. The transcripts of his and Sullivan's testimony were among the dozens of Russiagate interviews that had been withheld from the public for more than two years before being released last week.

Western media concerned coronavirus 'hasn't killed more Russians'
US and allied media outlets seem frustrated that the Covid-19 pandemic isn’t killing more Russians, so they’re claiming the death toll is higher, despite a lack of evidence - while insisting Moscow is the one spreading disinfo.
When the number of confirmed coronavirus cases started accelerating in Russia last month, western media pounced, presuming the increase would be followed by the kind of spike in casualties seen in the US and many European countries. That hasn’t happened, and the same outlets that were licking their lips waiting for the Russian body count to explode now seem to feel cheated.

“Experts want to know why coronavirus hasn’t killed more Russians,” Bloomberg mused on Thursday, shocking more than a few people with its headline’s air of disappointment. The article’s title was subsequently revised to “Experts question why coronavirus hasn’t killed more Russians,” which is…so much better.
The outlet hinted that a “recalculation” was in the works that would beef up Russia’s death rate significantly, citing an interview with Melita Vujnovic, the lead World Health Organization representative in the country. But Vujnovic only said a “recalculation” might occur - and she clarified on Russian TV on Tuesday that “there are no facts indicating deliberate understating” of the death rate.

Trump Signs Executive Order to Boost Domestic Production of COVID-19 Supplies
WASHINGTON (Sputnik) - US President Donald Trump said on Thursday that he has signed an executive order to boost domestic production of crucial supplies needed in response to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
"Earlier today I signed an executive order, just signed it, invoking the Defenсe Production Act to grant new authority to the US International Development Finance Corporation…under my order it will now also invest in our country, helping to bring vital factories, pharmaceutical producers and most importantly jobs back home where they belong", Trump said during remarks at the Owens and Minor, Inc. Distribution Centre in the state of Pennsylvania.
In the executive order, Trump said the measure will expand and strengthen relevant supply chains within the United States that are crucial in the fight against the pandemic. The authority given in the order will expire after two years, Trump said.
In April, Undersecretary of Defence for Acquisition and Sustainment Ellen Lord said the Pentagon has realized amid the current pandemic that the United States' supply chain may be too dependent on China.
