Calling all Planefags, Rec Arrow squawking 7700.
I have a situation brewing involving the Luftwaffe that may lead into Q's comments about actions being brought forward. The timeline today thus far is as follows. All times are Zulu time (GMT).
10.30 - Luftwaffe GAF614 (14+04) seen off the Portuguese coast at angels 41 headed SSW. Another German plane (54+10 - GAF177) was seen over Madrid at angels 30 headed SSW, running in trail. Netherlands AF NAF46 (T-264) was seen over Pompeii coast at angels 37 headed SE. French Air Farce CTM2054 was over Barcelona vectored for Algiers.
11.00 - GAF614 seen headed for Gran Canaria at angels 41. GAF177 was leaving the Spanish coast near Gibraltar at angels 31, apprently following GAF614.
11.30 - GAF614 200kms N of Tenerife at angels 36 headed SSW. Indications were that it could be headed for Foraleza on the way to Argentina (I've seen them do this before).
12.45 GAF177 was over Gran Canaria at angels 32 headed SW - obviously following GAF614. GAF880 (15+02) was nearing the Austrian border at Allensteig - it descended around Pilis / Monor in Hungary but did not appear to land. (Flight attached).
14.30 - GAF244 (54+15) was over malaga at angels 31 headed SSE. US Navy CATBRD1 was approaching the Spanish coast at angels 21 about 150km East of GAF244. Spoopy planes 2-POSH and 2-PROP were active too - 2-POSH was over Freiburg, having left Zurich(?) at angels 34 headed North. 2-PROP had left Guernsey and had crossed the UK coast, was currently over Basingstoke and was descending towards Reading, looking as though it was landing at Chalgrove.
14.30 - GAF614 was back over Gran canaria at angels 36 headed NE. Oddly, the GAF614 call sign had vanished, it was only identified as 14+04.
16.15 - GAF614 was over Tambique, Spain at angels 40 headed NE. CATBRD1 was E of Granada, Spain at angels 40 headed ENE. USAF Beech Huron TITUS52 was over Plasencia, Spain at angels 25 headed parallel to GAF 14+04.
Has Q's team stopped the Luftwaffe going back to Argentina and turned them back again? Everything I have seen suggests that the Luftwaffe were attempting a breakout during a NATO exercise and were caught.
I need more planefag eyes on this urgently!!
Also, Flightaware is being screwed with (norecent flight data for some military planes) and ads-b.nl has had the account suspended!!
