Forgive me Anons if this has already been posted, I did a very brief survey of PB notables but this humble lurking Anon provides this with some personal commentary and background/context. This is a YUGE HABBEDING.

SpouseAnon is retired now but was an active duty military unrestricted intelligence officer for two decades. (USMC MOS 0202). SpouseAnon came from the aviation side of the house as a qualified ECMO officer and graduate of Corry Station PNS after winging.

Although SpouseAnon came from a SIGINT background, he was fully trained/qualified on all aspects of intelligence collection, evaluation and production at the School House in Dam Neck and spent a lot of time acquiring additional post-graduate credentials in other aspects of intelligence - such as speicalizing mapping, GEOINT, MASINT etc. TBH as a non-IC person, I don't know really what those terms mean, it's just what I transcribed while helping SpouseAnon prepare the resume for post-military civilian employment after retirement so I was given the "cook's tour" of intelligence. SpouseAnon had a good career, a command tour (not too many available in active duty MI intel) and won a lot of awards and commendations for skills and contributions. SpouseAnon was recognized by peers and change of command as being very proficient and skilled in military MOS.

The one thing that SpouseAnon could never get credentialed in was post graduate specific counter-terrorism and HUMINT certificates officially, even though SpouseAnon acted in numerous very important counter terrorism activities forward deployed at the very tip of the spear in combat as a trained and credentialled Force Protection/Anti Terrorism Officer. Apparently the credentialing for HUMINT and counter terrrorisim at the officer level is held very close and there is much gate-keeping involved. Those in the system hand-pick those they want to join their little cozy club. It is not a meritocracy, it is an kleptocracy.

So this is a good thing that Grenell is doing and the shrieking from the Swamp proves it. It is going to take a while to flush the IC and return it to a system of genuine meritocracy rather than the sickening patronage system it is now.
