Read through most of the “Playbook for Early Response to…Biological Incidents” that was put out by the Obama Administration and discussed earlier.
As far as the section on the Domestic response, I’d say that the President and the Team has done a pretty good job.
They executed the playbook parameters very well given the large number of variables and unknown unknowns.
It’s true that maybe some different plays should have been called. But it’s also true that the players making the plays were not at the same skill level…or, right play was called but poor execution.
President Trump did tone of coordination amongst the varies players and agencies AND worked to get the People involved outside of the government agencies. (Note: Why did the playbook call for NSC involvement to such a high degree?)
Also, it’s possible that some of the players were simply the wrong people, …
…even dishonest people intent on throwing the game for another team (WHO, UN, etc.) or to get their own glory (re:$$$$).
