I checked out the redcross app. There is a great deal of location stuff going on in there. Possible it's innocuous, since it's used to find nearby donation centers. I don't have a lot of Ghidra experience and I haven't tried to decipher the machine code, so I can't say if it's good or bad just yet. Still trying to figure it out.

 

I wouldn't install that app personally though.

Can't say about the uninstall. I didn't see anything related to that in the code.

 

I took a look at Facebook a couple weeks ago and there's a lot of location stuff in there too. DETAILED location including the gyroscopic sensors. It can tell which way you are facing, plus all the inclinometer/gyroscopic data too (pitch and yaw on your phone)

 

I wouldn't install that either.
