But these commenters relish in their self-assessment that they are highly educated/ intelligent and this article proves to them that all Trump supporters are dumb "as a box of socks" (quoting from a comment there).
What I found interesting was that there wasn't one commenter defending Trump. Do they filter comments, censor them?

I don't miss anything here. I just read the article plus the comments and pointed out, the overall nature of the comments.
Not one comment was friendly.
That gave me the impression that the comment section at NYT might be censored/ "curated".
Or: Conservatives might be too lazy to comment there.
