College and high school grads are missing out on wonderful and meaningful celebrations this month: the graduation ceremony and related family/friend gatherings. A sort of closure and lifetime milestone. (and in some cases, first career jobs)

Some of these grads are just glad to be finished and want to get on with life.

Others will be deeply impacted by what governors and the media have done (re Covid19). Some of these young men and women are now realizing that there are folks out there who can take things away from us, on a whim and without hesitation.

And some are learning that there are grown-ups "in power" that lie and cheat.

This has been a painful learning experience - driving home the kind of lessons that stick with you for the rest of your life. The kind of lessons that fundamentally change your outlook, and your future choices.

I wonder if [they] took that into consideration?

Tough but true.
