Dem-imposed coronavirus orders face lawsuits across the nation

Stay-at-home orders aimed at reducing the spread of coronavirus are now facing legal challenges from residents and state officials alike, alleging that some measures – mostly put in place by Democrats – go too far while the country gradually moves toward reopening.

California alone is facing at least a dozen lawsuits that include claims that the state has unjustly closed down gun shops and religious services, infringed on freedoms of speech and assembly by restricting protests, and one case where a resident alleges that being forced to remain at home constitutes forced detention without due process.

“We’re being challenged,” California Gov. Gavin Newsom, a Democrat, told CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday. “All across this country, every single day, governors are being challenged, local health officials are being challenged, and it’s a spirit of collaboration. Those that continue to pursue things that put people in harm’s risk, you have to have stepped up efforts and enforcement and sanctions.”

Trump rips ‘grossly incompetent’ Obama following coronavirus criticism

President Trump blasted former President Barack Obama as “grossly incompetent,” a day after his predecessor criticized the administration’s handling of the coronavirus.

“Look, he was an incompetent president, that’s all I can say. Grossly incompetent,” Trump told reporters at the White House after returning from spending the weekend at Camp David.

Trump left the White House for Camp David, the presidential retreat in the Maryland mountains, on Friday.

He was accompanied by White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows and a number of Republican members of Congress.

Asked what they discussed, Trump said it was a “working weekend.”

“So I think we had a great weekend. We did a lot of terrific meetings. Tremendous progress is being made on many fronts, including coming up with a cure for this horrible plague that has beset our country,” Trump said Sunday. “It was a working weekend, it was a good weekend. A lot of very good things have happened.”

Q's latest post got me curious about my state's Board of Pharmacy members. Seems they don't get enough light shined on them. Interdasting how they are appointed by the Govs. Interdasting to read their bios. Suggest looking into your own state's Pharmacy Board. It is one thing to bitch and moan. It is another to focus on individual members and make them feel the heat for their decisions. Knowledge is power….

Feinstein's letter is not the only one circulating in the Senate against possible annexation. Senators Chris Murphy, Tim Kaine and Chris Van Hollen drafted a letter to Netanyahu and Gantz warning annexation "would fray our unique bonds, imperil Israel's future and place out of reach the prospect of a lasting peace."

"With less than 60 days until a possible unilateral Israeli annexation of West Bank territory, it's critical that pro-Israel senators add their voices to those of Israel's top security experts and American supporters of Israel speaking out against annexation," the letter read.

"Unilateral annexation could harm the US-Israel relationship and have serious ramifications for the future of Israelis and Palestinians alike."

actually surprised this happened in Texas.

Then again, isn't Texas a state the docs cannot dispense meds from their own office, or am I confused?
