The Secretary of Labor, once United States Attorney in Miami, Alexander Acosta negotiated a secret illegal plea deal with serial child rapist / sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. Epstein was arrested on July 6, 2019 for molesting dozens of girls in his mansion in New York, Lolita Express plane, his Virgin Island estate and in Florida. He was indicted on two sex trafficking counts by federal prosecutors in the southern district of New York.
Acosta’s negotiated 2008 deal shut down the FBI investigation which had produced 53-page draft indictment involving more than 30 underage girls. Epstein plead guilty to lesser state charges of soliciting women who were labeled prostitutes despite the fact that children cannot be called that.
