JOOGLE street view shows the photograph was kind of taken pointing towards the NORTHWEST (not the Northeast like I had mistakenly said before). But, looking at the aerial view, it seem clearly that that light in the sky would be located solidly in the Northern sky.

Just doesn't seem to me that that would be Venus, and I can't think of any other planet or start that would be that bright during daylight hours, unless the photo was taken during an eclipse of the sun?
