Delicious revenge! Good news for US consumers! Trump nets another win for our team!

The new US tariffs on various Chinese products resulted in China retaliating in turn by imposing tariffs on our goods, including US pork. The largest pork exporter in the US is Smithfield - wholly owned subsidiary of WH Group of China! Good news for US consumers - if Chinese consumers don't want to pay the higher pork prices, that will result in an oversupply in the market and will lead to cheaper prices for US pork consumers. Love that ham and bacon!

Chinese tariffs on imported U.S. pork have so far hit only one producer very hard – a Chinese company [Smithfield]:

“Smithfield is an American company, so the additional 25% tariff is applicable to any pork we produce in the U.S. and export to China just like all other U.S. producers/processors. … There was already a longstanding tariff in place (12% on frozen pork), which we have been paying all along — before and after the WH Group acquisition in 2013.”:

"The company sells its products under several brand names, including Cook's, Eckrich, Gwaltney, John Morrell, Krakus, and Smithfield.":
