A Twilight Zone Scenario.
Imagine if you will a Family of 6 consisting of two adults and 4 children all teenagers, two boy, two girls.
My Name is Republican (GOP) for short, spouses name is Democrat (Dem) for short.
Our last name is America.
We live in a modest home, bills including mortage are barely paid…little to none in savings.
GOP earns enough to put food on the table, keep the cars tuned up. trying to keep Dem under control.
Dem has a problem with credit cards, into drugs, sex, and protesting for human (not American) rights.
Everything is going along OK….Work is going good, lots of business…Mortage is current, Bills are barely current. spouse and kids are healthy and fed.
Then one day..a problem arrises,(let's call it a Pandemic)…you are now forced to stay at home with the spouse and kids..Mortage is now 2 months late, Insurance, Credit cards, Gas and Electric, Water bills are piling up…food is starting to run out.
Just when Everything looks bleak and you have no where to turn.
Dem decides to invite 4 homeless people into the fray, all from different areas where you don't know their background but because they are "human", Dem feels that is the right thing to do and GOP won't learn of it until they are already there.
1 pedophile - no one knows it yet, also speaks a different language.(problem for the kids, but doesn't bother the spouse(Dem)).
1 drug user - no one knows it yet.(problem for the spouse and kids, but doesn't bother the spouse(Dem)).
1 from a different religion, has different beliefs and wants to change yours even though they are living off your earnings.(no problem with the spouse (Dem)).
1 Veteran - just got out, looking for work, needs a place to stay, clean, healthy, and in good shape. ( no problems at all for the Family).
The Story goes off in different directions from here.
But to me the moral of the Story is don't bring on more debt load, until you can handle the one you're in first.
Alternate story line –
If the story was where the Family were millionaires, then there would be only small problems…you wouldn't have any debt, mortage and other bills would be paid off…the homeless would then be welcome because you could afford a guardian to watch over the homeless and help them out or put them in jail.
The only problem that can't be fixed is the spouses bad habits. so we would need to divorce ourselves from the spouse (Dem) and correct our mistake and start again.
