AG Barr Says He Does Not Expect Criminal Investigation of Obama, Biden Arising From Durham Review

US Attorney General Bill Barr and FBI Director Christopher Wray held a press conference on Monday morning.

Barr said US Attorney from Connecticut John Durham’s review is not expected to lead to a criminal investigation of Biden or Obama.

Last week Acting DNI Richard Grenell declassified the list of Obama officials involved in the unmasking of General Mike Flynn in his conversations with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak.

Names included former CIA Director John Brennan, Ambassador to the UN Samantha Power, former DNI chief James Clapper and former Vice President Joe Biden!

We also learned Barack Obama was discussing Flynn’s unmasked calls with Kislyak in a secret Oval Office meeting on January 5, 2017.

However, Bill Barr said based on the information he has today, Durham’s review will not lead to a criminal investigation of Obama or Biden.

“As to President Obama and Vice President Obama, whatever their level of involvement, based on the information I have today, I don’t expect Mr. Durham’s work will lead to a criminal investigation of either man,” Barr said. “Our concern over potential criminality is focused on others.”

Barr said however that Durham’s review of the origins of Spygate are being investigated as potential crimes.

John Solomon said that John Durham is focusing on false testimonies based on the grand jury subpoenas.

“It’s possible that some people who gave false representations to Congress could get prosecuted for those false representations,” Solomon said.

WHO chief promises independent & ‘transparent’ review of its handling of Covid-19 pandemic response

The World Health Organization (WHO) chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has promised that an independent review of the organization’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic will begin at the “earliest appropriate” time.

Speaking to the annual meeting of the World Health Assembly on Monday, Tedros said the WHO had “lessons to learn” and that the body “must examine its response” to the global health crisis.

He promised that the WHO was committed to “transparency” and “accountability” following criticisms of the organization’s handling of the pandemic, particularly from the Donald Trump administration, which cut its funding last month, triggering international criticism.

Trump has accused the WHO of acting in a “China-centric” manner and of “covering up” information about the spread of the Covid-19 infection at Beijing’s command. Both the WHO and China have rejected those claims. On Monday, Tedros said that the organization had “sounded the alarm early” and “sounded it often” as the virus spread around the world.

While the WHO eventually declared a pandemic on March 11, after it had spread to more than 100 countries, it had been providing assurance that there was “no evidence” of human-to-human spread as late as mid-January – and in February, Tedros warned there was no need for travel bans as the spread beyond China was “minimal and slow.”

The WHO chief said Monday that the “risk [from Covid-19] remains high” and there is a “long road to travel” to beat the virus. Tedros also warned that countries moving too quickly to lift measures designed to curb the spread of the infection run the risk of handicapping their own recovery from the crisis.

US Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar told the virtual meeting that the WHO’s slow response to the crisis “cost many lives,” and that the organization needs to be made more effective.

WHO’s oversight body also said on Monday that it was urging states to consider a “stepped level of alerts” before declaring a global emergency.

Addressing the assembly earlier, UN chief António Guterres said the WHO was “irreplaceable” and needed greater resources to bolster its work in developing nations.

Austrian Study Finds "Sign Of Human Intervention" In COVID-19

A scientific study in Austria has found that SARS-CoV-2, the coronavirus that has led to a pandemic, was likely created in a lab, barring some “remarkable coincidence” that led to the virus naturally evolving to be optimised to attack human cells

The study was led by Nikolai Petrovsky, a vaccine researcher at Flinders University. The scientists in his team discovered that the coronavirus is optimized for penetration into human cells, rather than animal cells, which means that the theory that it emerged from an animal market and jumped to humans naturally is unlikely.

Lifesite News reports that the scientists “used a version of the novel coronavirus collected in the earliest days of the outbreak and applied computer models to test its capacity to bind to certain cell receptor enzymes, called “ACE2,” that allow the virus to infect human and animal cells to varying degrees of efficacy.”

“They found that “the novel coronavirus most powerfully binds with human ACE2, and with variously lesser degrees of effectiveness with animal versions of the receptor.”

The authors believe this means that the virus “became specialized for human cell penetration by living previously in human cells, quite possibly in a laboratory.”

The Study notes that “a virus would be expected to have highest affinity for the receptor in its original host species, e.g. bat, with a lower initial binding affinity for the receptor of any new host, e.g. humans. However, in this case, the affinity of SARS-CoV-2 is higher for humans than for the putative original host species, bats, or for any potential intermediary host species.”

It continues, noting that a “possibility which still cannot be excluded is that SARSCoV-2 was created by a recombination event that occurred inadvertently or consciously in a laboratory handling coronaviruses, with the new virus then accidentally released into the local human population.”

Dr Petrovsky added in a statement that, rather than being rapidly genetically spliced and mutated, the virus shows signs of being ‘cultured’ to evolve over time.

“Our and other analyses of the genomic sequence of the virus do not reveal any artificial gene inserts that would be the hallmark of a gene jockey, genetic engineers who manipulate or even create viruses by splicing in artificial inserts into their genome.” Petrovsky said.

Italian nuclear engineer and deep state target Giulio Occhionero pointed out the Italian connection in the release. Giulio has an interest in Obamagate since 2016.

70 percent of Spain emerges from lockdown amid large protests calling for govt to resign

As the majority of Spain cautiously re-emerges from lockdown, disgruntled sections of the citizenry have taken to the streets to protest the government’s perceived bid to leverage the coronavirus crisis to stay in power.

On Sunday the country’s daily death toll dropped below 100 for the first time since it imposed lockdown restrictions on March 15. Adopting a staggered approach since last week, Spain then began its four-phase system for reopening its economy.

As of Monday, some 70 percent of the country is now in phase one, which allows for gatherings of up to 10 people with adequate social distancing, bars and restaurants reopening their outdoor sections at half capacity, and cinemas, museums and other cultural businesses also reopened, though at reduced capacity.

However, Barcelona, Madrid and northwestern areas of the country remain at Phase Zero, with most restrictions still in place, but small shops being allowed to open and funerals with attendance of up to 25 people also allowed.

Meanwhile, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez will ask parliament to extend the country's state of emergency until the end of June, which many have seen as a bid to use the coronavirus crisis as a means to retain power.

In addition, the Spanish cabinet is expected to approve a basic income to help the country's poorest recover economically from the coronavirus and ensuing lockdown, with some 100,000 households expected to receive a stipend in the initial phase of the stimulus package.

The vote on the estimated €3-billion annual payment is expected to be held on May 26, Social Security Minister Jose Luis Escriva said on Monday.

Report: WHO beholden to Beijing and should be investigated

A new report has slammed China and accused the communist state of trying to “cover up” the Coronavirus.

The report by cross-party think tank Civitas: titled; Year of the Bat: Globalisation, China and the Coronavirus, academic experts Dr Niall McCrae and Professor M.L.R. Smith argue that, as the virus proliferated, China tried to cover up the contagion and did little to stop its worldwide spread from the initial source in Wuhan.

Faced with the US administration ceasing funding for the World Health Organization (WHO) and conducting “serious investigations” into Beijing’s handling of the coronavirus outbreak, the report’s authors suggest that the claim that the infection began at a traditional ‘wet market’ could be a convenient narrative for the Chinese authorities, possibly masking an alleged accidental leak from a laboratory.

The Australian government is already calling for an independent inquiry into the origins of COVID-19. In contrast, UK government sources were unable to confirm or deny questions that it had given China assurances about the way it refers to the pandemic and its cause. In this report, the authors urge for China and the WHO to be investigated for the handling of Covid-19, particularly in the early stage of the contagion.

To ‘Fight Sex Trafficking’ Cops Coerced Potential Victims into Sex Acts, Then Arrested Them for It

The Federal government concluded a three-year investigation into a criminal enterprise — dubbed “Operation Asian Touch” — in which women were forced to live in horrifying conditions while they were ordered to perform sexual acts on customers. The investigation fell apart, however, because the “heroes” investigating the human sex trafficking were, themselves, engaging in human sex trafficking.

Agents with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in Arizona claimed to be “fighting” human sex trafficking by paying the sex slaves for hand jobs and then using that as a pretext to arrest them and seize what little money they made through tips.

The years-long operation yielded just three misdemeanor charges stemming from a single sexual encounter which authorities interrupted during a raid. No other charges could be brought forward because authorities refused to release the names of the “investigators” who paid the victims for sex acts.

During the investigation, Lon Weigand, deputy special agent in charge of Homeland Security Investigations in Arizona, praised the horrifying and senseless operation that helped in busting a “transnational criminal organization.”

However, he left out the fact that his agents facilitated and participated in that organization. As Trib Live reports:

What Weigand didn’t say at that September 2018 news conference — although HSI documents show some supervisors knew — was that federal undercover agents repeatedly paid for and engaged in sex acts with suspected victims.

That fact, coupled with HSI’s refusal to let its agents testify, caused the collapse of a case that was more than three years in the making. All felony charges against the alleged ringleaders were dropped. And sex-trafficking experts said the women were likely re-traumatized.

Defense attorneys were outraged when they learned of the agents’ actions.

“That’s our tax money,” said attorney Josephine Hallam, whose grandfather was former U.S. Supreme Court Justice Hugo Black. “Shouldn’t they be at the border, or doing something with terrorists rather than getting sex acts?”

Yes, they should.

A lawyer for one of the women charged in the operation questioned how federal agents paying potential sex trafficking victims for hand jobs somehow protected America’s national security.

“It is unclear how an ICE officer having sexual relations with human trafficking victims in Mohave County, Arizona, protects the nation from terrorist attacks or secures the borders,” wrote attorney Brad Rideout in a motion seeking the real names of the undercover agents, who were identified in police documents only as “Arturo” and “Sergio.”

Oakland Puts Entire City at Risk by Suspending Sex-Offender Registrations Over COVID-19

Alameda County in California has a population of 1.6 million people, many of whom have been denying stay at home orders, going to the beach and other places. Most of those 1.6 million people have also been shopping in grocery stores and exposing themselves to others for months during the lockdown. However, out of this 1.6 million, there have been only 2,392 confirmed cases of COVID-19 as of Monday. In the entire state of California, hospital bed occupancy is at less than 10% capacity. If we look at the numbers alone, officials are losing the case for maintaining a total lockdown. Nevertheless, officials keep making brash decisions, especially when it comes to child rapists and other sex offenders.

Due to the “threat of coronavirus” in Oakland, officials in California made the decision to close down the registry unit where many of the city’s sex offenders are required to check in every month.

As Fox News reports, now, the city of Oakland has no up-to-date addresses or other important information on hundreds of offenders – particularly transient sex offenders – raising concerns from victims’ advocates and offenders who are trying to register alike.

“We’ve put a whole population at risk and I find that very, very concerning,” said Nina Salarno-Besselman, an attorney with Crime Victims United, a public safety and victims’ advocacy group that fought to pass California’s Megan’s Law in the 1990s.

China rejects EU call for Wuhan virus investigation, whitewashes responsibility

Chinese President Xi Jinping rejected a European Union demand for an inquiry into the origins of the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic today, and attempted to whitewash his country’s role in its spread across the world.

Jinping made the remarks at the opening ceremony of the World Health Assembly in Geneva today, which brings together representatives from 194 member states of the World Health Organisation (WHO). The meeting is being held virtually as a social distancing measure.

The European Union, along with Australia, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, and other countries are pushing for an investigation into the virus’ origins and the global response to it. Jingping acknowledged the need for such an enquiry, but said that it should be postponed until the pandemic is under control.

China has come under fire for spreading misinformation about the virus during the early stages of the pandemic in an attempt to save face. For example, in January China claimed that the virus could not be spread through person-to-person contact. Many experts believe that this downplaying of the virus’ seriousness delayed the world’s response until it was too late to contain it.

In today’s address, Jinping insisted that China had “acted with openness and transparency,” and had “provided the international community with information in a timely fashion,” according to a report by CNN.

The WHO itself is also under fire, standing accused of helping to spread China’s disinformation further. US President Trump suspended his country’s funding for the WHO last month in retaliation, as previously reported by Voice of Europe. At today’s ceremony, Jinping pledged an additional $2 billion USD over the next two years to the WHO.

Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the WHO’s Director General, likewise said that he welcomes an investigation into his organization’s response to the pandemic, which would begin “at the earliest opportunity,” according to a report by BBC News.

A report issued by the European Union last month initially blamed China for its disinformation campaign, but officials concerned about China’s response to the report ordered the country’s responsibility to be downplayed in its final version, as previously reported by Voice of Europe.

Obama Officials Said On TV That Trump Colluded With Russia — They Said Otherwise Under Oath

Newly declassified documents have shown that several Obama administration officials now say they saw no empirical evidence of Trump-Russia collusion, contradicting earlier statements they made on television.

Chief among these Obama officials is former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper. He stated on CNN that President Donald Trump’s campaign was “aiding and abetting” the Russian attempt to interfere with the 2016 U.S. election. When the anchor pressed him on the issue he said he was using the term aiding and abetting “colloquially.”

Newly released sworn testimony, however, shows that Clapper told Congress he “never saw any direct empirical evidence” of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.

“That’s not to say that there weren’t concerns about the evidence we were seeing, anecdotal evidence …[redacted],” Clapper continued in the transcript. “But I do not recall any instance when I had direct evidence of the content of these meetings. It’s just the frequency and prevalence of them was of concern.”

When a Republican congressman asked when whether it was reasonable to assume meetings implied collusion, Clapper deflected.

“I really can’t answer it other than the sort of visceral reaction to why all these meetings with the Russians,” he said. He acknowledged according to National Review that it was not abnormal for incoming administrations to meet with foreign representatives before assuming office, but said “I think there is a line … between that and violating the principle that in this country we traditionally have one president and one administration at a time.”

The lack of empirical evidence wasn’t enough to stop the Trump-Russia collusion from being far worse than Watergate in Clapper’s mind, however.

“I have to say though that I think, if you compare the two, Watergate pales really in my view compared to what we’re confronting now,” he said in 2017.

Clapper wasn’t alone in testifying to the lack of evidence of collusion. House members asked former U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Samantha Powers whether she had seen any evidence herself.

“I am not in possession of anything—I am not in possession and didn’t read or absorb information that came from out of the intelligence community,” she said according to Fox News.

Xi Jinping at World Health Assembly: China to Build ‘Global Humanitarian Response Hub’

Chinese dictator Xi Jinping announced during a speech to the World Health Assembly on Monday that China would partner with the United Nations to build a public health “global humanitarian response hub” in China to control future pandemic responses.

Xi, whose nation systematically prevented awareness of contagious disease control in the early days of the pandemic, also said Beijing would invest $2 billion in Chinese coronavirus response in the next two years and offer the world free access to a Chinese-made anti-coronavirus vaccine once it is developed.

Xi was one of the first world leaders to address the World Health Assembly on Monday, following only one other, Swiss Confederation President Simonetta Sommaruga. Switzerland is home to the World Health Organization’s (W.H.O.) headquarters.

The World Health Assembly is an annual meeting of public health officials to discuss the most pressing health issues in the world currently. This year, the event is being held virtually as a result of the Chinese coronavirus pandemic, exacerbated by mismanagement and secrecy on the part of Xi’s Communist Party.

As in every year since President Tsai Ing-wen was elected, the W.H.O. refused to allow the nation of Taiwan to participate, at China’s behest. Taiwan has implemented one of the world’s most successful coronavirus responses, recently passing one month since the last confirmed domestically transmitted case. While participants at the assembly will not hear the details of Taiwan’s expertise, the venue offered Xi top billing to falsely claim China had successfully contained the virus, despite accelerating rates of infection in both northern China and central Wuhan, the origin city of the virus.

“In China, after making painstaking efforts and enormous sacrifice, we have turned the tide on the virus and protected the life and health of our people,” Xi said in his World Health Assembly speech on Monday. “All along, we have acted with openness, transparency, and responsibility. We have provided information to the W.H.O. and the relevant countries in the most timely fashion. … We have done everything in our power to support and assist countries in need.”

Gavin Newsom Worried About ‘Potential Third Waves’ of Coronavirus

California Governor Gavin Newsom on Sunday said there could be a potential third wave of the coronavirus and policymakers need to be “humbled” by what they do not know about SARS-CoV-2.

Policymakers have been expressing concerns about a potential second wave this fall, but the California governor on CNN went further, saying previous pandemics like the one in 1918 had multiple waves.

“If history doesn’t repeat itself, it certainly rhymes. And the realities of previous pandemics around the globe and those we experienced in the United States suggest not just second waves, but potential third waves,” Newsom said. “And so one has to be very, very sober as we move forward to this next round of re-openings, and do so with the modifications that are required of the moment, and, I think, a humbleness of spirit on all sides of the political aisle that’s also needed at this moment.

Newsom was responding to questions about how quickly schools will re-open and if there will be major gatherings like sporting events and concerts this year in the Golden State.

He predicted that “some school will not be” ready to open in the fall though “many schools will be.”

“And it’s all conditioned on our ability to not only keep our children safe, but to keep staff and faculty safe, to keep the community safe. So, it’s all predicated on data, on science, on not just observed evidence, the reality on the ground,” Newsom said. “So, I think it’s a question that is a difficult one to answer in absolute terms. There’s nuance. But we are moving forward, in hope and expectation that we can start that school year very strategically and methodically, again, based upon the health as a prime frame of reference in terms of those decisions.”

Newsom added that “each part of California is unique and distinctive” and “certain conditions will present themselves favorably, some unfavorably.”

“But, look, I’m a father of four kids, and deeply anxious about their health and safety, as every parent watching is as well. And so it’s just another proof point. Those that claim we know what we know about this pandemic, it was 90 days ago no one even knew the word Covid, let alone what corona actually meant,” he continued. ” And so we are in a situation where, every day, we have to be humbled by what we don’t know, and we have to be open to argument, interested in evidence. Newsom, pointing out that businesses are re-opening with plenty of “modifications,” also gave realistic expectations about major sporting events returning this fall with crowds, saying that the health consequences associated with packed stadiums could be “profound.”

“So, when you look for the future, you have got to paint a picture of those modifications, where people are practicing physical distancing, or should be, where people are putting face coverings on when they otherwise are coming into contact with strangers,” Newsom said. “But the idea of having stadiums filled with 80-plus-thousand people, strangers coming together across their differences, as much as we want to see that happen, and the spirit and the pride that comes from people coming together in that respect, the health consequences could be profound and devastating and set back all the progress we have made.”

The California governor said state officials “are moving into that very cautiously, working with all the major leagues across the spectrum, to make sure that” they are “not promoting things or promising things” that they “can’t deliver.”

Huawei Strikes £5 Million Deal With Corona-Modelling Imperial College London

The British university behind the doomsday coronavirus projections that resulted in the introduction of national lockdown restrictions has signed a deal with Chinese tech giant Huawei to build tech centres on its campus in West London.

Imperial College London has landed a £5 million deal with Huawei, which will sponsor research projects, the construction of new tech facilities, as well as a 5G network for the college.

“Like other UK universities, we have received support from Huawei for high-quality and open research for several years. Such funding is subject to our robust Relationship Review policies,” Imperial College London told the Mail on Sunday.

The British government has used the research and modelling conducted by the university to inform its response to the Chinese coronavirus pandemic.

The projections conducted by disgraced Imperial College Professor Neil Ferguson have come under increased criticism following his ousting from the government’s coronavirus response team. ‘Professor Lockdown’ resigned from his post after it was revealed he was breaking the very lockdown measures his research called for, to receive visits from his married left-wing activist lover.

French Children Confined to Dystopian ‘Play Squares’ as Schools Reopen

Youngsters were assigned dystopian one-child “play squares” at a French school trying to figure out how to maintain social distancing as the national coronavirus lockdown eases.

Pictures shared on social media by Lionel Top, a journalist at BFMTV and RMCinfo, showed a variety of measures in place to try and maintain social distance at the school, with the most striking being a shot of children confined in lonely, chalk-outlined boxes as they played outside.

The Frenchman said there was a “Very strange, even disturbing atmosphere” at the school as it opened to a limited number of pupils, manned by schoolteachers wearing protective masks.

“And if these photos sadden us, imagine what the teachers feel,” he added, quoting one educator as having told him the situation “makes me sick, you can’t imagine”.
