Aw man! Barr said today that Durham is not sending anyone to Gitmo. The DOJ is just letting them all get away with everything. It's all over. We lost, because we all know that it's the DOJ that holds the military tribunals. If Durham's investigation doesn't indict them, how the hell can the military hold a Courts Martial or tribunal?
Fucking sarcasm, if you missed it.
Basically, a Courts Martial is a military trial for someone who falls under military law (UCMJ). A tribunal is a military trial for an enemy combatant.
The death penalty is not considered lightly in any trial; military or civilian. Don't think that a military trial is an automatic ticket to Gitmo. Prisoners are not sent to Gitmo due to a civilian trial, nor are there US citizens that are not defined as enemy combatants sent there .
You do understand that Gitmo is a military prison, not a public execution, right? And that being military, it's not under the DOJ, right? And that it's for enemy combatants, not US citizens that break the law during war time, right?
