You sound like my son up in MN … except for the living with parents and working in an office stuff.
Anywhere south of Ohio and between the Appalachians and the Rockies should be fine.
True fact / perspective … wherever good people can make a living, there's room for one more. There's also a skid row around nearby … so be the responsible one.
The work you do next year probably won't pay as well as the work you did last year … but you'll eat your morsel in relative peace.
Come here … wherever "here" is. But leave there, wherever "there" is, behind. We are fed up with people who want to drag "up nawth" with them.
Stay away from the big box stores. The local shops are owned by your neighbors. They sponsor the 4H and they sweep the sidewalk out front in the morning. Shop local whenever possible.
