Q's chess analogy is a joke. Like you said, they own the media so they are allowed to cheat. If their King is in trouble, they just pick him up and move him elsewhere. Even if it's not their turn.
Life is not a game with rigid rules. Game theory does not apply to life. Why? Because the opponent can, and will cheat at any time. Or change the rules.
Hypothetically, I'm playing chess with "Master X". He's whipping me despite my best efforts. Just before he makes the winning move, I pull out a gun and shoot Master X in the head, killing him. Who won?
