Owners Of CNN, NBC, Other Major Legacy Outlets Come Together In Support Of Fox News Amid Lawsuit

Owners of major legacy outlets came together Monday evening and filed an amicus brief in support of Fox News’ motion to dismiss a lawsuit against them by the activist nonprofit group WASHLITE.

The amicus brief, which translates to “friend of the court,” was filed by The Internet & Television Association (NCTA) and The Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press (RCFP). The two media entities argued against WASHLITE’s claim that “cable programmers do not have First Amendment rights.”

“Since the advent of cable television, the Supreme Court has explained time and again that cable programmers are protected by the First Amendment,” the amicus brief reads, according to a copy obtained by the Daily Caller.

NCTA is made up of the owners of major media companies. Members include Warner Media, which owns CNN and HLN, Comcast, which owns NBC News, MSNBC, CNBC and Telemundo and A&E, which owns Vice TV.

Similarly, RCFP includes many well-known reporters and executives from publications such as ABC News, CNN, the Associated Press, The Washington Post, The New York Times and others.

WASHLITE filed a lawsuit against Fox News on April 2 over the network’s coverage of the novel coronavirus. The lawsuit requests an injunction to prohibit Fox from “interfering with reasonable and necessary measures to contain the virus by publishing further false and deceptive content.”

One Of Epstein’s Victims Painted His Co-Conspirator As An FBI-Protected Lizard Person

Her most recent painting, “FBI diagram,” depicts a dead Jeffrey Epstein in a flying saucer, with his still-free co-conspirators playing out various scenes in other parts of the painting.

Artist Maria Farmer is believed to be the first of Epstein’s victims to attempt to report the wealthy pedophile and his friends to police, and now she is working on a series of paintings “all about the elites” and their crimes.

Her most recent painting, “FBI diagram,” depicts a dead Jeffrey Epstein in a flying saucer, with his still-free co-conspirators playing out various scenes in other parts of the painting, including Ghislaine Maxwell as a reptile inside of a giant plastic bubble, with a “property of FBI” tag hanging off of it, likely symbolizing the lack of action from the FBI and other authorities.

The painting also shows Alan Dershowitz without pants on, putting his finger over his mouth to shush the victims.

The depiction of Dershowitz is symbolic of the lengths that he went through to cover up Epstein’s crimes and discredit the victims.

He likely isn’t wearing any pants in the painting because he has been implicated in Epstein’s crimes as well, and has admitted to receiving massages at Epstein’s estate.

He has also been called a “pervert” by his former neighbors and admitted to skinny dipping at Martha’s Vinyard, which resulted in numerous complaints from people in the area that day.

Describing her new painting, Farmer said, “I wanted to do it from a child’s viewpoint. What I’m really doing is saying: FBI, if you can’t follow this, you can’t follow what a child would draw. This is about corruption at a much higher level, and he was just one of the pawns,” Farmer added. The drawing emphasizes “the absurdity of the fact that they let him go for so long.”

According to Farmer, she was assaulted by Epstein and Maxwell at the Ohio estate of Lex Wexner when she was staying there in the summer of 1996 to work on an art project. She then learned that her younger sister had a similar encounter with the pair, and she was underage at the time.

Farmer says that after she made the accusations about Epstein and Maxwell, Maxwell used her connections to destroy her reputation in the New York art scene before it even began.

Farmer says that she became terrified of them, and even moved around several times trying to get away from them.

She was never able to fully pursue her art because she was so worried about staying under the radar, but now with Epstein apparently dead and many of his accomplices laying low, she feels safe to begin to create her art again.

Sadly, in the midst of this new chapter in her life, she was also diagnosed with cancer, which she attributes to the constant stress resulting from the trauma inflicted by Epstein and his friends. She also blames them for taking away the life that she should have lived.

New Jersey Is Latest State to Significantly Drop Coronavirus Death Tally — From 5,408 to 4,295

Last week Dr. Deborah Birx, the White House Coronavirus Task Force response administrator, challenged the CDC Director in a heated conversation. Dr. Birx told Dr. Redfield, “There is nothing from the CDC that I can trust!”

Birx was right. The CDC numbers could not be trusted.

The CDC intentionally made it that way.

Colorado admitted last weekend to over-counting coronavirus deaths in the state and lowered their state totals by 272 deaths.

CDPHE now reports that as of May 9, 878 people had died “due to” COVID-19 and 1,150 people have died “among” COVID-19 cases.

And now New Jersey is lowering its fatality numbers.

The Garden State is dropping its total number of deaths from 5,408 to 4,295.

altCensored: Website Fights Censorship By Hosting Deleted YouTube Videos

A brilliant website is tracking and republishing videos that are being censored by YouTube.

altCensored features videos from across the political spectrum, and many that aren’t political at all, that have been removed by the video streaming giant.

The goal of the website, which was created in 2019, is to “be the reference for YouTube censored content through a community effort across ideological lines” and to “raise awareness of increasing online censorship,” according to a statement provided to Gateway Pundit.

In order to do this, altCensored tracks videos that are placed behind a “limited state” firewall by the platform.

“YouTube limits access to videos that are neither illegal, nor violate their own Terms and Conditions or Community Guidelines,” altCensored’s website explains. “’Limited state’ videos are placed behind a warning message, cannot be shared, monetized or easily found, and have likes, comments, view counts and suggested videos disabled.”

The site has created an “unbiased community catalog,” and the over 40,000 videos that they have ended up with is fascinating.

There is everything from Pamela Geller videos about Muslim rape gangs to conspiracy theories and everything in between. As YouTube has been cracking down on coronavirus content, the site’s catalog now also features an array of interviews with doctors and scientists who have been silenced for daring to question the World Health Organization’s official narratives.

‘You first then’: Prince Charles’ plea to Brits to ‘Pick for Britain’ during Covid-19 crisis provokes anger

Britain’s Prince Charles’ appeal to citizens to join a movement – similar to the ‘Land Army’ of World War II – and descend on farmlands up and down the nation to help harvest produce during the pandemic has prompted resentment.

Clarence House in London, Charles’ official residence, tweeted out a ‘Pick for Britain’ campaign video fronted by the Prince of Wales on Tuesday. The royal called on Britons to make “a vital contribution to the national effort” by taking on the arduous work this summer to avoid the scenario of crops rotting in fields and going to waste.

The UK’s agricultural industry is under immense strain due to the coronavirus outbreak preventing migrant workers, who make up a large proportion of the farming workforce, from carrying out the vital role.

In what was perhaps a veiled swipe at the work ethic of some Britons, the Prince said that what was needed most was “pickers who are stickers,” meaning workers who wouldn’t up and leave due to the tough manual labor involved. Charles asked people to summon up the war-time spirit in the UK’s hour of great need.

This is why that great movement of the Second World War – the Land Army – is being rediscovered in the newly created ‘Pick for Britain’ campaign.

The initiative has been widely panned by many on social media, apparently aggravated by a man of great privilege – who considers himself a farmer – but who wasn't himself intimating that he would be joining his fellow Britons on farmlands to carry out the physically demanding work.

“You first then,”joked one commenter. Another sarcastically suggested that the void left by the low-paid migrant worker shortage could be partly filled by Charles’ disgraced brother Prince Andrew, as “he has no other work these days.”

Others angrily insisted that they would only consider joining the “movement” if the heir to the British throne gets his “pointless a**e out picking strawberries for eight hours a day.”

Obama Fired an IG Who Exposed an Underage Sex Scandal and the Media Turned a Blind Eye

Liberals and the mainstream media were up in arms on Friday when President Trump fired the inspector general of the State Department, Steve Linick.

But where were those self-righteous liberals in 2009 when then-President Obama fired an inspector general who had exposed an underage sex scandal involving a former NBA star-turned-politician who just happened to be a prominent Obama supporter?

In accordance with the 2008 Inspector General Reform Act, which protects inspectors general from being fired without cause, President Trump informed Congress in writing about his intent to fire Linick, expressing that he no longer had the “fullest confidence” in Linick, who was appointed by Obama in 2013.

PJMedia report: Democrats naturally have come out of the woodwork to express their faux outrage, and to launch an investigation into the firing over allegations that Trump acted to protect Pompeo.

But where were these Democrats in 2009 when Barack Obama fired the inspector general of the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), Gerald Walpin?

Gerald Walpin was in the middle of an investigation when he was called by White House counsel Norman Eisen, who informed him that he had an hour to resign or be fired. This was in violation of the Reform Act, which Obama co-sponsored as a U.S. senator. Walpin refused.

Flynn Defense Files Request for Appellate Court Intervention

Moments ago Michael Flynn defense counsel Sidney Powell filed an appeal to the D.C. Circuit, a Petition for Writ of Mandamus (pdf link here), asking for intervention to correct Judge Sullivan’s unauthorized action.

Within the request Flynn’s defense requests the DC Appeals Court to order district court judge Emett Sullivan to: (1) grant the Justice Department’s Motion to Dismiss; (2) vacate its order appointing amicus curiae; and (3) reassign the case to another district judge as to any further proceedings.

The request cites numerous legal precedents in favor of granting the writ; but it’s a DC panel of judges so politics will likely play a role in determining what the appeals court decides to do. Given the nature of this extraordinary situation it is difficult to predict success or failure for the request to intervene. The whole darn thing is bizarre.

Within the petition the defense team notes:

…”The district judge’s latest actions—failing to grant the Government’s Motion to Dismiss, appointing a biased and highly-political amicus who has expressed hostility and disdain towards the Justice Department’s decision to dismiss the prosecution, and the promise to set a briefing schedule for widespread amicus participation in further proceedings— bespeaks a judge who is not only biased against Petitioner, but also revels in the notoriety he has created by failing to take the simple step of granting a motion he has no authority to deny.

This is an umpire who has decided to steal public attention from the players and focus it on himself. He wants to pitch, bat, run bases, and play shortstop. In truth, he is way out in left field.”…

A case reassignment in the DC district is a sketchy proposition. Things could get even worse than they are now. Sidney Powell is doing everything within her legal power to advocate on behalf of her client, Michael Flynn; however, the politics in DC seem to be the guiding force – and not legal standards or judicial prudence.

Global Lawmakers Call on IMF, World Bank to Cancel Debt of Poor Nations

Sen. Bernie Sanders and Rep. Ilhan Omar led a group of more than 300 lawmakers from around the world last Wednesday in calling on political leaders and global financial organizations — including the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank — to fully cancel the debt that is shackling poor nations as they work to combat the coronavirus crisis and avert total economic devastation.

“This is a global economic and public health crisis unlike any we have seen in our lifetimes,” Omar, a Minnesota Democrat, said in a statement. “We as a global community must seize this opportunity to get relief to those who are suffering by cancelling debt for nations who cannot afford it. As the largest contributor to the IMF and the leading force behind the establishment of the World Bank, the United States should take the lead in this effort.”

Sanders, a senator from Vermont, warned that without sweeping relief, poor nations could be forced to “dedicate money that should be going towards protecting the health and safety of their people to pay off unsustainable debts.”

“We cannot allow these countries to be deprived of the resources they need to purchase food, medicine, protective gear, and medical equipment,” said Sanders. “The steps that our international coalition of lawmakers is proposing are not radical. It is the very least that these financial institutions should do to prevent an unimaginable increase in poverty, hunger, and disease that threatens hundreds of millions of people.”

The lawmakers’ letter (pdf) was sent Wednesday to World Bank president David Malpass and IMF managing director Kristalina Georgieva and also forwarded to world leaders, including U.S. President Donald Trump, U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson, and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

The letter’s demand for debt cancellation—not merely temporary suspension and deferment—for more than 70 International Development Association (IDA) countriesas well as an urgent infusion of financial support was backed by hundreds of lawmakers from more than two dozen nations, including Spain, Mexico, Brazil, Peru, France, Italy and Argentina.

“We call on all G-20 leaders through these [international financial institutions] to support the cancellation of debt obligations held by all IDA countries during this unprecedented pandemic,” the letter reads. “The vulnerable communities that lack the resources and privileges to adopt adequate public health measures will ultimately face the disproportionate burden of coronavirus.”

“We also urge you to support a major issuance of Special Drawing Rights (SDRs) in order to provide developing countries with urgent financial support,” the letter continues. “An issuance of SDRs on the order of trillions of dollars will be required to avert major increases in poverty, hunger and disease.”
