Poroshenko: (7:10 mark) I have some good news… Yesterday I went and seat with the general prosecutor’s office.

Joe Biden: Yes.

Poroshenko: …. I especially asked him to resign… as his position as a state prosecutor… He promised to give me statement of his resignation… One hour he gave me statement of his presentation.

Joe Biden: Great!….

Joe Biden: (10:20 mark) I am prepared to a public signing for a commitment for a billion dollars. Again I am not suggesting you want it or don’t want it. I am suggesting that is what I am prepared to do. Again it won’t be finalized… Let me when you and I finished speaking let me huddle with my team… I agree with you there is a sense of urgency here.

Joe Biden — (14:30 minute mark) Congratulations in getting the new Prosecutor General. I know there’s a lot more to that. I really think that’s good. It is going to be critical that he works to repair the damage of Shokin. I’m a man of my word. Now that the new prosecutor general is in place we’re ready to move forward to signing the one billion dollar loan guarantee. And I don’t know how you want to go about that… I’ll leave it to you to how you want it done and where you want it done.

Nationwide, Feds find cozy connections between China & university professors

In the last year, multiple university professors and researchers have been charged over their connections to China.

Now, U.S. college campuses are under increased scrutiny for any connections they may have to the communist regime as the country deals with the fallout from the pandemic.

Specifically, colleges are being pressured by all sides to shut down their Chinese-funded Confucius Institutes.

The Chinese Virus began infiltrating the United States in early 2020, but the communist country already had a foot in the door well before then.

In the last year, Campus Reform has covered multiple instances of U.S. law enforcement officials charging professors and students with lying about their ties to China while conducting U.S.-funded research and even attempting to smuggle U.S.-funded researched to China.

Air Force F-35 Crashes at Eglin; Pilot Ejects Safely

An F-35A Joint Strike Fighter crashed at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, Tuesday evening following a routine nighttime training flight, according to the Air Force.

An F-35A Lightning II, assigned to the 58th Fighter Squadron of the 33rd Fighter Wing, crashed around 9:30 p.m. local time upon landing base officials said in a release. The pilot, who is in stable condition, "successfully ejected and was transported to the 96th Medical Group Hospital at Eglin for evaluation and monitoring," the release said.

First responders from the 96th Test Wing responded to the scene, officials said.

"There was no loss of life or damage to civilian property," the release said. "The name of the pilot is not being released this time. The accident is under investigation."

The 33rd Fighter Wing is the leading training wing for F-35 student pilots at the base. Although the F-35 is the Pentagon's newest and most advanced aircraft, the oldest Joint Strike Fighters in the fleet reside at Eglin. The planes are part of Lockheed Martin's earliest low-rate initial production batches.

The F-35 mishap marks the second accident at Eglin in a week's time.

An F-22 Raptor crashed last Friday morning during a routine training flight near Eglin.

The pilot was able to eject safely and had been evaluated by the 96th Medical Group; the crash occurred roughly 12 miles northeast of Eglin on the test and training range. No injuries were reported.

An investigation into that mishap is also ongoing, officials said.

The latest F-35 accident marks the second American F-35 crash that occurred stateside in two year's time.

In September 2018, a Marine Corps F-35B assigned to Marine Fighter Attack Training Squadron 501 crashed near Beaufort, South Carolina. The pilot was able to eject; following the crash, the Pentagon grounded all service variants of the stealth fighter, citing the need to inspect potentially faulty fuel tubes within the engine before aircraft were allowed to take to the skies again.

In April 2019, an F-35A variant belonging to Japan crashed about half an hour after taking off from Misawa Air Base. The Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) concluded that the pilot experienced vertigo or spatial disorientation during flight which was the reason the pilot of the fifth-generation jet was unable to rectify the aircraft's course, ultimately plunging into the Pacific ocean.

The Air Force is the largest customer for the F-35, with hopes to procure 1,763 of the A variant from its maker, Lockheed Martin.

The F-35 program's total cost has been projected at more than $1 trillion over a 50-year service lifetime.

The Pentagon has put pressure on Lockheed to reduce costs where it can, officials have said, trying to get the cost lowered to at least $80 million per jet on the F-35A variant.

Cop Claims Girlfriend Shot Herself, But Gunshot Residue was on HIS Hand, NOT HER’S—Dept Rules it Suicide

Channahon, IL — As TFTP reports on a regular basis, police officers reportedly abuse their significant other at four times the rate of non-police officer families. The studies into police domestic violence also suggest that this number is likely higher given the fact that the victims are often too scared to report it, or even if they do, the abuser’s co-workers cover it up. In one of the most glaring incidents of alleged domestic violence and subsequent cover up TFTP has ever seen, a cop in Illinois appears to be getting away with killing his girlfriend.

The parents of Samantha Harer, a deceased 911 emergency dispatcher, have filed a lawsuit against the city of Channahon, Channahon’s Police Chief Shane Casey, Deputy Chief Adam Bogart and Detective Andrew McClellan for police misconduct and deprivation of civil rights in regards to their daughter’s death.

Lawyers for the officers and the city have been fiercely opposing the suit but Kevin and Heather Harer have been fighting them every step of the way.

If we look at the facts of the case, there should be no lawsuit and all those involved should be in prison. Unfortunately, however, because the alleged murderer and his co-conspirators are officers of the law, they’ve reportedly waged an elaborate web of lies to cover up the murder of Samantha Harer — despite overwhelming forensic evidence to the contrary which paints Crest Hill Police Officer Felipe “Phil” Flores as her killer.

On Feb. 13, 2018, Harer was found nude in her bedroom with a single gunshot through her head. Off-duty Crest Hill Police Officer Felipe “Phil” Flores, Harer’s estranged boyfriend, called 911 claiming Harer had locked herself in her bedroom during an argument and shot herself.

Gunshot residue tests analyzed by the Illinois State Crime Laboratory in Chicago found no gunshot residue on Harer’s hands. The forensic scientist found several traces of gunshot residue on Flores’ right hand as well as blood spatter and gunshot residue on Flores’ black sweatshirt.

To reiterate, when the forensic experts examined the crime scene, they found that there was no way Harer could’ve killed herself as she had no gunshot residue on her hands — meaning she never fired the gun. Instead, it was officer Flores who fired the gun, according to the evidence, and, who also had Harer’s blood on his shirt.

This should have been an open and shut case. Flores should’ve been immediately arrested and tried for the murder of Samantha but this is the exact opposite of what happened.

"Polite Deflection Will No Longer Cut It" - US Pressures Israel To Sever Economic Ties With China

Since President Trump fired the first volley in the US-China trade war two years ago, tensions between the US and China have intensified to unprecedented levels, and the prospect of an armed confrontation between the world's two largest military and economic powers is becoming a tail risk worth considering, according to Wall Street luminaries like David Tepper.

Around that time, the State Department launched a quiet campaign to pressure America's allies, including the UK, Germany and Australia, to prohibit parts made by telecoms giant Huawei in their 5G networks, as evidence of "backdoors" in other Huawei products, and Chinese companies are often required to cooperate with state intelligence agencies. For what it's worth, Huawei has persistently denied cooperating with Beijing, and has offered to sign a "no spying" pledge. When the UK decided to allow some Huawei equipment in certain "non-essential" parts of the UK 5G network, he received a dressing-down from Trump.

Since the advent of the coronavirus, these tensions have flared to such a degree that one analyst predicted that the post-COVID-19 era would be characterized by a "super-cold war" with China. And in a report published by the Jerusalem Post on Wednesday, the paper sheds light on the behind-the-scenes pressure campaign by US Ambassador David Friedman and the State Department to push Israel and PM Benjamin Netanyahu to cut more economic ties with China, particularly ties related to 'critical' industries like tech and biotech.

Specifically, the US wants Israel to establish a "more comprehensive" review of incoming Chinese investment, particularly in these industries. But it's not just new deals that the US is concerned with; rather, an anonymous official told an Israeli diplomat that they would like to see Israel "go further" with a "reduction of entanglements overall".

Asked whether the establishment of an Israeli version of the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) would satisfy the US, the official said: “I’d go further. Reduction of entanglements overall. Elimination in critical areas altogether."

“A CFIUS-type mechanism is a good start,” he added.

As Secretary of Defense Mike Pompeo has done in the past, the official emphasized that “this is not exclusive to Israel. We’re having similar conversations with all of our allies and partners.”

For those who aren't familiar with CFIUS - aka the Committee on Foreign Investment in the US - it's an agency within the Department of Commerce that has the power to block deals involving foreign entities if it rules that the deal would create risks to national security. It was briefly in the news last year when it struck down a deal for a Chinese company to buy the queer dating app Grindr.

News of the pressure campaign probably isn't a surprise for anybody monitoring the bilateral relationship, as the quote above noted, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has openly encouraged US partners - particularly members of the 'Five Eyes' intelligence alliance - to scrutinize all ties with China for national security risks.

‘Total fiasco’: Dismay after UK minister admits government prioritized NHS over care homes during Covid-19 early stages

UK hospitals were prioritized over social care homes during the early stages of the coronavirus outbreak, a government minister has admitted, prompting public anger in light of the huge amount of Covid-19 deaths among the elderly.

Justice Secretary Robert Buckland became the first UK government minister on Wednesday to ostensibly concede that they decided to direct the majority of resources toward the NHS at the detriment of care homes in terms of protection against the deadly Covid-19 disease.

It also appears to fly in the face of rhetoric peddled by Health Secretary Matt Hancock, who has insisted in recent days that they have “tried to throw a protective ring around” care homes “right from the start” of the outbreak.

During an interview on Sky News Buckland admitted that the staggering amount of deaths in care homes has been “a great regret,” but now was “not the time to blame people.” However, he claimed that it was “absolutely essential” the NHS was given priority.

We needed to make a choice about testing and we did decide to focus upon the NHS.

Judicial Watch’s Tom Fitton Predicts Who John Durham Will Indict Over ‘Russiagate’

Judicial Watch’s Tom Fitton joined the Daily Caller’s Stephanie Hamill for a wide-ranging interview on the John Durham investigation, FISA reform, the ‘unmasking’ of President Donald Trump’s former national security adviser Michael Flynn and more.

As for the Durham investigation, Fitton says his expectations are “low.”

“I don’t think there will be serious prosecutions of senior level Obama administration officials, maybe an FBI agent here or there like Peter Strzok or Kleinsmith,” said Fitton.

GOP Sen. Johnson: Rice Email Shouldn’t Have Been Classified, Wray Should Have Made it Available Sooner

On Tuesday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “The Story,” Senate Homeland Security Committee Chairman Ron Johnson (R-WI) reacted to the recently declassified email from former National Security Adviser Susan Rice by stating that the email shouldn’t have been classified and criticizing FBI Director Christopher Wray for not making the information public sooner.

Johnson wondered why the email was ever classified to begin with and accused Obama administration officials trying to “sabotage” the incoming Trump administration.

He later stated, “Where has Christopher Wray been in all this? He should have gone to the FBI. He should have cleaned house. He should have made all this available. But he hasn’t done that. We need to restore the integrity and credibility to these agencies. And this is not the way to do it, by keeping this stuff covered up for over three years.”

Macron’s party loses parliamentary majority; Le Pen calls for new elections

Responding to Macron’s party losing its majority in the National Assembly earlier this week, Marine Le Pen of the populist National Rally (RN) has called for new elections so that the will of the people is better reflected in the country’s lawmaking body.

On Tuesday, after seven MPs from Macron’s La Republique En Marche (LREM) defected to form the new party called “Ecology, Democracy, Solidarity”, the long-time chief of National Rally urged him to dissolve the lawmaking body and hold new elections, Le Figaro reports.

“The Head of State explained to us that he was mistaken, that he was going to make a totally different police,” Le Pen said. “In a perfect democracy, this must push us to come back to the voters, moreover when we lose our majority and when we are in a succession of crises.”

The new parliamentary group which consists of 17 former LREM lawmakers has stated that it would neither sit in the majority nor the opposition. In a political declaration posted to its website, the group said that it would “be a demanding force, ready to build with the government and the majority whenever they listen to our proposals, as with all political benches, to build majorities of ideas to give progress ecological and social a chance to succeed.”

Responding to the fracturing of Macron’s big tent party, Le Pen said: “The breakdown of this bric-a-brac alliance was predictable. The elected representatives of The Republic on the Move have only one thing in common: they had the intuition to cling to the Macron hot air balloon during the last presidential election.”

The populist leader also argued that the election of future parliamentarians should also occur under proportional representation and not by majority ballot.

At present, French lawmakers are elected in a system which consists of two rounds where candidates who garner more than 50 percent of the vote in round one win automatically. In the case that no candidate reaches this percentage, the candidates with the two most votes face off head to head in a second and final round.

National Rally, which draws its support from a broad range of geographical regions, has long preferred a proportional representation voting system. Such as system does not inherently handicap third parties in way that France’s current system or Britain’s first past the post system both do.

According to an opinion poll for Le Journal du Dimanche newspaper, twenty percent of the French public believes that Le Pen would’ve done handled the Wuhan coronavirus crisis better than Macron. As of April 30th, a separate poll found that 58% of the French public disapproved of Macron’s performance as the country’s head of state.
