The slow-walk was brilliant, because we've accumulated piles of direct testimony, tv interviews, books, press conferences…where all the swamprats are on record. Now they're being called to the Senate to testify under oath. If they plead the 5th, then all they're contradictory statements stand. If not, they have to lie again.

Senate hearings are more effective when all the truth is already out. Couldn't have happened without the slow-walk.
