Americans With Disabilities Act
People with a partial or complete hearing loss may rely on lip reading and facial expressions to communicate with others. Decrees to wear a face mask and instilling fear in people they should keep it on in public, denies those with hearing disabilities the right to effectively communicate with others. Also, a face mask can muffle and reduce the volume of speach making it difficult to understand for those with a partial hearing loss.
Governors, healthcare professionals and the media are denying fair and respectful access to public conversation for Americans With Disabilities.
They should be held accountable.
