Here’s what you need to know about Armando “Junior” Hernandez:
Hernandez Is the Vice President of External Affairs of the Los Diablos Leadership Team at ASU
According to the Los Diablos’ Facebook page, Hernandez is a student at Arizona State University. In April, he was named as the 2020-2021 Vice President of the Los Diablos Leadership Team, which is a board of student scholars whose goal is to promote community service.
The Los Diablos Leadership Team was formed in 1984. It was “a vision that would rise our community and build power. Los Diablos ASU has paved the way for many of our Latino youth to attain college success and beyond. Our success is in large part due to our mentorship program. And for that, we couldn’t thank our mentors enough.”
Hernandez was Singled Out By Los Diablos for His Effort To Bring People Together Amid Coronavirus
The 20-year-old Arizona native was incredibly involved with his Los Diablos community. On April 25, after the state and school had been shut down due to COVID-19, Hernandez insisted that the scholars and board members came together virtually to connect and touch base.
A Facebook post message reads: “We thank our scholar Armando “Junior” Hernandez for calling this meeting to reconnect. Junior advises every one of us to reach out to each other because some of us don’t have a family to go back to and everyone needs support during these trying times. This meeting reaffirmed that we will always be here for each other.”
