whats up everybody, longtime lurker first post. Feeling this is the right place for answers or at least educated speculation. So i have a very sane and reliable family member who had an upclose and personal encounter with what he descibed as a werewolf. Yes a fucking werewolf. His encounter was very intense and it brings him to near tears to even speak about it.
I started to research online as he is not too tech savvy and came across the dogman phenomenon. Up to this point i had never heard of a dogman. I started reading and listening interviews of others who claimed to have an encounter. Definitely some bullshitters out there but what got me was that many of the stories had too many similarities regarding intricate details of this creature, what it looked like how it breathed, the bone popping sound when it stood from 4 legs to 2 that were exacy the same that my family member experienced. I have no doubt now these things exist. WHAT THE FUCK!!!
If you have not read about these beasts i would highly reccomend it. Speculation on their origins ranges from undiscovered species, native american lore calls them wendigos/skinwalkers, demonic spirits, some believe they are from another dimension and travel here intermittently. If you look at drawings in the ancient pyramids the Anibus is a man with a dog/wolf head. Europen tales of werewolves run back hundreds of years so i exclude any military experimentarion theories.
I figure like everything else there has to be some truth to the fact that different civilizations on different continents have similar beasts in their folklore.
The fucked up part is these things seem to have human type traits in their mannerisms, facial expressions and some even claim to feel a telepathic connection to them (not in a good way)
Anybody have any insight? Truly looking forward to your opinions. My family member has never been the same since his encounter. Refuses to go back into the woods, no more hunting, no more fishing, nothing… I would love to give him some kind of closure.
