4 arrests made in Tushar Atre murder

PLEASURE POINT, Calif. —

4 persons of interest have been arrested in connection to the murder of a Santa Cruz County tech entrepreneur back in Fall of 2019, according to the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office.

Tushar Atre was forcibly taken from his Pleasure Point home on October 1, 2019 hours before his body was located in a remote area of the Santa Cruz mountains near properties he owned.

Atre was shot to death.

Late Tuesday night, 3 men were booked into the Santa Cruz County jail in connection to Atre's murder.

They are charged with 3 felonies each; murder, kidnapping and robbery.

The three men are from Lancaster, California.

They are 22-year-old Stephen Lindsay, 23-year-old Joshua Camps, 22-year-old, Kurtis Charters.

Another man police say was involved was also arrested in Michigan, outside of Detroit in St. Clair Shores.

 

The Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office announced that more information about the case would be revealed in a press conference on Thursday, May 21.
