NY Governor Cuomo Blames CDC and Trump for the Thousands of Nursing Home Deaths in His State

What a disaster! The actions of New York’s governor Andrew Cuomo have led to thousands of coronavirus deaths in the state.

A memo dated March 25, 2020, ordered state officials to move coronavirus patients to nursing homes.

It was New York state policy to put the sick patients back in the nursing home.

This order has since been removed from the New York State Department of Health website.

More people died in nursing homes in New York, due to Governor Cuomo’s policies, than died on 9/11.

This is such a huge scandal that Governor Cuomo is now blaming this disaster on the CDC and President Trump.

Cuomo made the remarks yesterday during his press conference.

During his coronavirus news briefing Wednesday, Cuomo claimed he came up with the policy that nursing homes cannot refuse seniors who test positive for the novel coronavirus based on guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

That explanation came in response to a question about “a call for a federal probe into how the state handled the nursing home situation,” in particular Cuomo’s March 25 order requiring homes to take in COVID-19 patients from hospitals.

“Look, this is a political season. I get it. I have refrained from politics,” Cuomo said; if there was laughter in the room, it was inaudible in the video.

“Anyone who wants to ask why did the state do that with COVID patients in nursing home, it’s because the state followed President Trump’s CDC guidance,” the governor said. “So they should ask President Trump. I think that will stop the conversation.”

When asked whether he was “fudging the numbers” when it comes to nursing home deaths — one accusation we’ve heard, considering 1,700 deaths in nursing homes went unreported in the state — Cuomo went back to blaming the CDC.

“Your first point, why did the state do that? Because the state followed President Trump’s CDC’s guidance. OK. That’s that answer? No numbers were changed,” he said.

A reporter from The New York Times (!) then brought up a good point: If these were Trump’s guidelines and if Cuomo has consistently demonstrated a willingness to stand up to the administration when its guidance has been in error, why didn’t he stand up to it this time?

Trump To Void 'Open Skies' Treaty With Russia On Friday

The Trump administration is finally moving to pull the trigger on voiding the three-decade long Open Skies Treaty with Russia, after over much of the past year blasting Moscow's 'non-compliance' and threatening pullout along with other mutual defense treaties like New START.

"President Trump has decided to withdraw from another major arms control accord, according to senior administration officials, and will inform Russia on Friday that the United States is pulling out of the Open Skies Treaty," reports The New York Times.

The post Cold War treaty, initiated in 1992 and then ratified in 2002, allows its now 35 member states to conduct short-notice, unarmed observation flights to monitor other countries' military operations in mutual verification of arms-control agreements.

The treaty even allows Russian recon flights over tightly restricted Washington D.C. airspace — in past years Russian Tupolev Tu-154s have even flown at low altitude over such sensitive sites as Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland, the US Capitol, the Pentagon, and CIA headquarters in Langley.

Senior administration officials previously said of Open Skies, “This is a U.S. position—that we think this treaty is a danger to our national security. We get nothing out of it. Our allies get nothing out of it, and it is our intention to withdraw.”

The Pentagon has in recent years complained that Russia curtails ability to fly over key Russian cities where it's believed nuclear defense capabilities related to Europe are readied.

In NYT's Thursday reporting another rationale has been put forth based on intelligence soures, namely—

"…in classified reports, the Pentagon and American intelligence agencies have contended the Russians are also using flights over the United States to map out critical American infrastructure that could be hit by cyberattacks."

Meanwhile, European allies are actually more fearful this signals the White House is seriously mulling a near-future exit from New START, the last major defense pact between Washington and Moscow which seeks to limit and greatly reduce nuclear arms proliferation.

US Senate Approves John Ratcliffe as new Director of National Intelligence Replacing Hero Richard Grenell

The US Senate approved former Rep. John Ratcliffe as the new Director of National Intelligence.

In July 2019 President Trump announced he nominated GOP Congressman John Ratcliffe to replace outgoing DNI Dan Coats.

The Democrat-media complex, along with RINOs, attacked Ratcliffe, an honorable former US Attorney who has served in the House for many years.

Because of the nonstop attacks, Ratcliffe has decided to stay in Congress.

The President announced a week later that he was withdrawing his nomination of John Ratcliffe to be the next Director of National Intelligence.

It was later reported that Republican leaders Mitch McConnell and Richard Burr refused to take John Ratcliffe’s calls during this time period.

In February, before leaving to his rally in South Carolina, President Trump AGAIN nominated brilliant Republican lawmaker John Ratcliffe as Director of National Intelligence.

The US Senate approved John Ratcliffe for the post today.

Paying for priority? US forks out over $1.2 billion for 300 MILLION doses of University of Oxford’s Covid-19 vaccine

The US government has secured nearly one third of the anticipated production of a vaccine for coronavirus under development by AstraZeneca, after pledging more than $1 billion to fund the project.

The US Department of Health will dole out $1.2 billion for 300 million doses of the vaccine, which is being created in conjunction with the University of Oxford. Health Secretary Alex Azar described the deal as a “major milestone” in US President Donald Trump’s program to fast-track a Covid-19 vaccine, dubbed Operation Warp Speed.

AstraZeneca, based in Cambridge, England, says it will be able to manufacture around one billion doses of the vaccine, and hopes to begin deliveries in September. The UK government, which is also funding the project, has already secured 100 million doses.

Although billed as one of the best hopes of creating an effective antidote to coronavirus, initial trials of the vaccine, known as AZD1222, have had mixed results. In animal tests, all the monkeys injected with the vaccine ended up testing positive for Covid-19 after being introduced to the virus. However, the developers argued that the vaccine had successfully protected the animals from more severe infections.

The United States has taken heat for trying to pay to be first in line for any effective treatment. Washington has already awarded $30 million to France-based Sanofi, which is working on its own coronavirus vaccine. The company caused uproar among French government officials after it claimed that due to Washington’s generous financing the US would have first priority for any vaccine.

The pharmaceutical giant later backtracked, stating that they would be able to manufacture enough doses to meet demand both in the United States and across Europe.

Mississippi Church Suing Over Coronavirus Restrictions Burned Down in Arson Attack, Authorities Say

A Mississippi church that defied Coronavirus restrictions was targeted in an arson attack this week.

The First Pentecostal Church of Holly Springs was suing government officials over the authoritarian lockdown after police ordered church members to disperse on Easter Sunday.

The church fought back after it received a citation for violating ‘social distancing’ orders for allowing up to 40 people to congregate for Bible study.

On Wednesday the church was destroyed in a fire.

A church in Mississippi that burned down in what authorities say was an arson attack had previously defied the city’s stay-at-home order and was suing officials over lockdown measures.

The First Pentecostal Church of Holly Springs on Highway 178 was destroyed in a fire in the early hours on Wednesday, WMC reported.

According to the station, investigators found evidence that the fire was intentionally set, including graffiti in the church parking lot that said “Bet you stay home now you hypokrits (sic).”

Jerry Waldrop, who has been the church’s pastor, told the WMC that the church has “no enemies that we know of.”

Waldrop said: “We don’t know anyone that we even think could be capable of doing something like this.”

To this day, not one Democrat tyrant can explain why people are allowed to walk into Walmart, but they are not allowed to walk into a church.
