Medical professionals have noted that when people have their mask on, a number of serious issues are imposed on the organism. Here are a few:

 

1. Respiratory Acidosis

Re-inhaling carbon dioxide (CO2) creates respiratory acidosis where the excess CO2 causes the pH of the blood and other bodily fluids to decrease, making them too acidic. This disrupts normal metabolism and suppresses the immune system, nervous system, and all activities in the body.

3. Psychological Impact

Seeing faces and facial expressions of people is a very important element of human interaction. It generates the feeling of trust, understanding and safety. Having half of the face covered by a mask has a suppressing and depressing effect on human psyche.

 

4. Face Touching

It has been noted that people wearing a mask tend to touch their face much more often in order to adjust the mask, thus inadvertently not following the hygienic recommendation.

 

5. Missing the Point

Regular facial masks may, at best, protect from bacteria, but not from viruses. Did you know that the size of average bacteria is about 3 microns (25 times smaller than the diameter of a human hair) while viruses range in size from 0.02 to 0.25 micron. This makes the viruses submicroscopic, unable to be seen in a light microscope.

 

Permeability of the masks may not be sufficient and viruses and pathogens will bypass the mask filters.

 

As one medical specialists said, wearing a mask to protect from a virus is as effective as a fishing net is against mosquitoes.

 

Sometimes there is no choice and a person is obligated to wear a mask for some parts of the day. In that case, try to compensate by spending more time outdoors doing exercise, brisk walks, gardening, and playing sports where possible. Drink plenty of water and eat a lot of fruit and vegetables to nourish your body. Breathe deeply, practice light breath holds with long breath restoration time, sing, laugh and smile more.
