That’s kind of the point, DS didn’t learn with the passing of the 18th for prohibiting booze, America rebelled making moonshine, bathtub gin, homemade beer sold for cash in the speak easys, bought from the backdoors, smuggled in trunks, baby carriages etc…this whole thing almost reminds me of the overreach we learned from the 1920s…when it was repealed with the 21st amendment because the overwhelming support of the public forced the amendment things went somewhat back to normal, except that we ended up with the sin taxes we have today.
