Boatfag Analysis Report

Picking up the prior BF report (great friggin' work, Shipmate, BZ!) this is a workup from the last known info to provide a rough position estimate on the Iranian ships heading to Venezuela.

These reports are not 100% on track with the last known course bearings and selected the closest part of the Venezuelan coast as the destination in order to calculate current positions. These tracks also assume a constant speed.

>Since this involves a good amount of math/conversions and I'm trying to work quickly, I'm only going to do a couple at a time so I don't forget figures to put into the reports. Had to do conversions from nautical miles to km since I'm plotting with goog earth. The rest will follow shortly.

Last known position reported on 5/19 @ 1:41 UTC was 32.25107 N / 16.17062 W with a speed of 13.5 knots. The coast of VZ is 2833 nm from that point. Since the position is only 3 days old, the ship has only traveled approx 980 nm.
