‘Dangerous’: Ontario doctor sounds alarm over Canada’s coronavirus vaccine deal with China

Dr. Kulvinder Gill of Concerned Ontario Doctors called the govt's partnership with the Communist Party 'the most counterproductive and dangerous thing it could do.'

May 21, 2020 (LifeSiteNews) – An Ontario doctor is warning that the Canadian government’s new deal with China to produce a coronavirus vaccine is a “dangerous endeavour” and that Canada should instead fund vaccine trials with allied nations. 

“The role of our governments is to build trust through transparency and accountability,” said Dr. Kulvinder Gill, the president and co-founder of Concerned Ontario Doctors, a grassroots, non-profit organization advocating for healthcare issues affecting frontline doctors, in a ThinkPol report published May 19. 

“The role of our governments is to build trust through transparency and accountability,” said Gill, a frontline physician in the Toronto area. “If the Trudeau government wants Canadians to trust and buy into a SARS-CoV-2 vaccine, partnering with the Chinese Communist Party’s military is (…) the most counterproductive and dangerous thing it could do.”

Last week, Canada’s National Research Council (NRC) announced a collaboration with the Chinese firm CanSino Biologics Inc. (CanSinoBIO) to test its trial coronavirus vaccine, known as Ad5-nCoV, in Canada.

LifeSiteNews reported last week that the vaccine candidate Ad5-nCoV uses the HEK293 cell line, which is made from fetal cells harvested from an aborted baby decades ago, and is the property of the NRC. 

… Gill said on her Twitter account that Canadians should “fight against” what she calls a “hijacking” of medicine and science by politicians. She also noted on Twitter that she is “pro-vaccine,” saying it is “illogical” Canada is the only nation to sign an agreement with China to develop a coronavirus vaccine.

The ThinkPol report also noted that Gill says both SARS and MERS went away on their own without the need for a vaccine, adding that one's immune systems seem to be a person’s best defense. 

“There are no confirmed cases of reinfection or reactivation, strong T-cell responses bode well for long-term immunity, and there is residual immunity to common cold coronaviruses that offers some cross-protection against COVID-19,” Gill said in the ThinkPol report. 

“The normal vaccine development cycle is 10 to 15 years,” said Gill. “The shortest vaccine development cycle on record is for the mumps vaccine at four years. This human clinical trial with China’s Communist Party’s vaccine is proceeding at an alarmingly dangerous rate without adherence to research ethics and transparency.”

Gill noted that another reason to be cautious about working with China is the warning from the Five Eyes intelligence alliance consisting of Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand.

Gill said a recent Five Eyes alliance report “raised significant concerns regarding China’s handling of the novel coronavirus calling it an ‘assault on international transparency.’”

Chinese biotech firm boasts about ‘screening out’ Down syndrome children as huge moneymaker

The company brags that it has the technology in place to 'avoid the birth of them' and happily acknowledges the procedure is a 'cash cow.'

A video clip from an Al Jazeera report, which one pro-life commentator has called “profoundly shocking,”shows a BGI Genomics representative proudly declaring, “We use our technology (to) avoid the birth of birth defect, like Down syndrome birth.”

“A Down syndrome child, we can screen them out,” she added. “We can avoid the birth of them.”

Profiting from discrimination and killing

“It’s difficult to know which is worse: the recognition that the little person being killed is a child or the clinical acceptance that the child can be ‘screened out,’” wrote Irish pro-life activist Niamh Uí Bhriain. 

“The purpose of matching these aggressive screening programs with easily available abortion is obvious: to do exactly what was said in the video, and screen out people who have Down syndrome and other disabilities,” she continued. 

“In other words, to kill them all before birth,” she added.  

“She says ‘defect,’ I say ‘difference.’ That’s all it comes down to. And she had no answer to his questions about ethical implications,” remarked Vanessa Lindsey on Facebook.  “Maybe they should turn their attention to the seek and destroy of COVID-19, instead of perfectly wonderful human beings!”

“She obviously needs to be educated,” said Danielle Landers. “I’m a proud mother of a (Down syndrome) child and I wouldn’t change anything. She has labeled it as a disease. It is not a disease. It’s an extra chromosome.”

“The expression on her face at the end … She doesn’t seem to understand how someone can put ethics above money,” said Adrienne Nicholas in response.
