First, what you are describing as "the reaction of horror" was his bodily gestures BEFORE Biden (allegedly) said "I'm going to beat Joe Biden".
You're watching the video ON A LOOP, so what LOOKS like a gesture of horror at "I'm going to beat Joe Biden" was in fact a gesture that occurred when Biden said "I have over 40 years experience."
Second, I don't hear the word "beat", I heat the word "be", as in "I'm going to BE Joe Biden". Yes, Biden is playing dumb all the time, but I can't see him say he is going to beat himself and saying that in the third person.
