Controversy Erupts After Biden Tells Black Voters Considering Trump "You Ain't Black"

Joe Biden just massively insulted black voters - telling a popular black radio host on Friday that he 'ain't black' if he was still weighing whether to support Biden or Trump in the November election.

Biden's comment came during an interview with "The Breakfast Club" host Charlamagne tha God, who challenged the former VP over his decades-long record on racial issues and asked him about possibly choosing a black, female running mate, according to Politico.

"I’m not acknowledging anybody who is being considered, but I guarantee you, there are multiple black women being considered. Multiple," said Biden of his (handlers') search for a VP nominee.

It was then that an aide to the Biden campaign could be heard interjecting into the conversation, attempting to cut short the interview. “Thank you so much. That’s really our time. I apologize,” the aide said.

“You can't do that to black media!” Charlamagne retored.

“I do that to white media and black media because my wife has to go on at 6 o’clock,” Biden shot back, apparently referring to a subsequent media appearance by Dr. Jill Biden, before adding: “Uh oh. I’m in trouble.”

“Listen, you’ve got to come see us when you come to New York, VP Biden,” Charlamagne said. “It’s a long way until November. We've got more questions.”

“You’ve got more questions?” Biden replied. “Well I tell you what, if you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black.”

Charlamagne explained that “it don’t have nothing to do with Trump, it has to do with the fact [that] I want something for my community.” But Biden remained adamant in promoting what he described as a career of public service devoted to advancing civil rights. -Politico

Pakistani passenger plane approaching Karachi airport crashes in residential area

A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight en route from Lahore has crashed near Karachi airport. The aircraft, with almost 100 people on board, hit a residential district.

The plane crashed in the populated Model Colony area located on the outskirts of the city, approximately two kilometers from Jinnah International Airport.

A spokesman for PIA said the A320 Airbus had 107 people on board, as quoted by Reuters. He explained there were 99 passengers and eight crew members.

The mayor of Karachi initially announced there were no survivors from the crash, but it later emerged that at least two people had made it out alive. Authorities have confirmed that at least 41 people have died in the disaster so far.

It is not yet clear how many fatalities there were among those affected on the ground, but rescue workers said around 15-20 have been helped out from under rubble, according to the local Geo news channel.

Pakistan's Dawn website reports that Sindh Local Government Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah has ordered the city's fire brigades to the crash site to begin rescue operations. The Pakistani army's quick reaction force has also reached the site to assist rescue workers.

The PIA spokesman said contact with the plane was lost at 2:37am, but that it was "too early to say" what had caused the crash.

According to Geo, PIA CEO Air Marshal Arshad Malik confirmed that the pilot of the plane had been told both runways at the Karachi airport were ready for him to land, but a technical fault had caused him to perform a go-around before attempting to land.

Pakistan's independent safety investigations agency will inquire into the causes of the crash, Malik told reporters at a news conference.

Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan tweeted his condolences to the families of the victims and said an "immediate inquiry" into the crash will begin.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said on Twitter that he was “deeply aggrieved” over the “devastating” crash, while the country’s Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari called the crash a "national tragedy."

The crash comes only days after commercial flights began operating again, following the Covid-19 lockdown in the country.

“Feels right that the next step for 2020 is alien invasion…” wrote one Twitter user as their feed was flooded with images of an unidentified flying object in the skies above southeast Australia on Friday evening.

Tom Toose, a 31-year-old farmer watched the “massive burning trail of embers” in the sky with his girlfriend for about 30 seconds before it disappeared.

“I’ve never seen anything like that before in my life,” Toose said. “It looked like a plane was getting shot down, it was massive.”

Both Ambulance Victoria and the Country Fire Authority were inundated with calls from anxious residents worried about a potential plane crash.

They needn’t have worried, however; neither the end of days nor first contact with aliens were taking place. Instead it was something far worse… Those pesky Russians were at it again.

As it turns out, the fiery spectacle was actually the remnants of a rocket used to launch a Russian satellite into orbit.

The rocket was reportedly launched at 10:31 local time from Plesetsk, about 1,000 kilometers north of Moscow, according to russianspaceweb.com.

“What gives it away as being a space junk [rather than a meteor or comet] is that it’s come in at a very shallow angle, so that means it world have been a very low Earth orbit and just re-entered the atmosphere and started burning because of friction,” explained Perry Vlahos, vice president of the Astronomical Society of Victoria.

Meteors typically last three seconds at most and comets move extremely slowly across the sky, making them largely indistinguishable from the stars to the naked eye. Mystery solved… or is it?

Obama's Ambassador To Beijing Compares Trump To Hitler On Chinese TV

Since the beginning of the coronavirus outbreak, American leftists have been repeatedly caught parroting the rhetoric of the CCP as they decried President Trump's use of the term "Chinese Virus" as racist while amplifying unfounded claims that President Trump is solely responsible for all of the deaths in the US, despite the growing body of evidence that the coronavirus was spreading in the US even earlier than initially believed (the first known death has been dated to Feb. 6 in California, which suggests the virus was likely spreading in the US before the end of January).

As a reminder, China didn't inform the world about the evidence of human to human transmission (which they likely possessed for 6+ weeks at that point) until Jan. 22.

Despite all of this, Democrats have taken a distinctly "soft on China" tack, in opposition to President Trump's increasing hawkishness, even going so far as to side with the CCP (which, remember, just put 1 million+ Muslims into concentration camps) over the White House, as the National Review pointed out in a recent article.

One of the most galling examples of this phenomenon to date occurred Thursday, when former Obama-era ambassador and noted Sinophile Max Baucus, also a former Democratic Senator from Montana, compared President Trump to Hitler during an appearance in the Chinese press.

The former U.S. ambassador to China during the Obama administration has compared President Trump to Adolf Hitler and Joseph McCarthy on Chinese state-run television.

Max Baucus, who served as Montana senator from 1978 to 2014 until he was appointed ambassador to Beijing, compared Trump’s rhetoric on China to that of Hitler and McCarthy during a May 6 interview on CNN. Since then, Baucus has appeared on Chinese state television and repeated his claims.

"Joe McCarthy [and] Adolf Hitler…rallied people up, making people believe things that were really not true,” Baucus told China Global Television Network on May 12. "The White House and some in Congress are making statements against China that are so over the top and so hypercritical, they are based not on the fact, or if they are based on fact, sheer demagoguery, and that’s what McCarthy did in the 1950s."

High Ranking Detective Arrested, Jailed for Repeatedly Raping a Little Girl

A highly decorated, high-ranking, and now retired police homicide detective has been arrested and charged with raping an underage girl over a period of two years. District of Columbia retired detective John Pleasant Johnson Jr. was taken into custody and remains in jail on 11 counts, including aggravated sexual battery, indecent liberties, forcible sodomy and object sexual penetration.

Prince William County authorities arrested Johnson last Wednesday after the now 14-year-old says the retired cop sexually abused her over the course of the last two years starting when she was 12. The alleged abuses are said to have occurred between May of 2018 and April of 2020. She was an acquaintance of the former officer and the alleged abuse happened at a residence in Woodbridge.

According to the Washington Post:

Johnson started working as an officer in 1987 and retired in 2018. A month after he retired, Johnson returned to work as a senior sergeant until he left again in 2019.

This means he was abusing the pre-teen when he was still a sworn peace officer, something TFTP has reported as a common occurrence in many police departments across the country.

While police officers are human like everyone else they’re supposedly held to a much higher standard of behavior but often find themselves in trouble with the very police departments with which they have served.

Many times they’re allowed to walk free without spending one day in jail. Johnson, however, was denied bond and was being held in jail as of the writing of this article although a second bond hearing was scheduled.

DC Police quickly moved to distance themselves from the former detective. In a statement to the media, D.C. Police Chief Peter Newsham said it is, “disheartening to think that a former member of this Department could be involved in such deplorable conduct. Our thoughts are with the survivor and her family.”

The Washington Post also made mention of several other officers who succumbed to the same fate with which Johnson has now been charged.

Washington officials admit to counting GUNSHOT DEATHS in Covid-19 tally, say virus death toll likely underreported despite lapses

Health officials in Washington state said they are reassessing their Covid-19 fatality data, warning of underreported deaths, even after noting that five people who died of gunshot wounds were inexplicably included in the figures.

“We currently do have some deaths that are being reported that are clearly from other causes. We have about 5 deaths… that we know of that are related to obvious other causes. In this case, they are from gunshot wounds,” Dr. Katie Hutchison, health statistics manager for the Washington State Department of Health, told reporters on a conference call on Thursday.

There are a number of nuances to the data that we report and often it is very difficult – especially quickly – to make an assessment on the cause of death.

Though the state said its current coronavirus death tally includes anyone that dies after testing positive for the illness, it remains unclear how the gunshot victims ended up in the count – where they still remain. Hutchison said the figure would soon be revised to account for the glaring error, however.

Between 20 and 30 other cases included in the count are more difficult to rule out, the health department official went on, as the virus is believed to have played a role in their passing, but non-coronavirus causes are listed on their official death certificates. She said it typically takes six months to a year to clarify such questions.

Not included in the state’s count are some 3,000 fatal cases believed to have been caused by the virus and whose death certificates suggest Covid-like symptoms, but remain unconfirmed. Because of that, Hutchison said the true death toll may be understated.

We suspect that we are actually more likely to be undercounting deaths than overcounting them.

Other states have made similar readjustments to their Covid-19 death tallies. Last week, Colorado’s Department of Health and Environment reduced its death count by nearly 300, from 1,150 to 878. The changes were made after several cases of reported coronavirus deaths caught the eye of officials and media, including one incident in which a man who had died from alcohol poisoning had been declared a victim of the virus.

In April, Pennsylvania slashed more than 200 deaths from its own total, citing concerns about accurate reporting.

UK’s COVID-19 study aims to vaccinate more than 10,000

LONDON (AP) — British researchers testing an experimental vaccine against the new coronavirus are moving into advanced studies and aim to immunize more than 10,000 people to determine if the shot works.

Last month, scientists at Oxford University began immunizing more than 1,000 volunteers with their vaccine candidate in a preliminary trial designed to test the shot’s safety. On Friday, the scientists announced they now aim to vaccinate 10,260 people across Britain, including older people and children.

If all goes smoothly, the scientists predicted there might be enough positive data about the vaccine’s effectiveness to move forward with mass production relatively soon.

“If the vaccine is shown to work in the months ahead and it’s possible that if there’s enough transmission, that could happen in a relatively short period of time,” said Andrew Pollard, head of the Oxford Vaccine Group. “It’s possible as early as the autumn or towards the end of the year, you could have results that allowed use of the vaccine on a wider scale.”

But Pollard acknowledged there were still many challenges ahead, including how long it will take to prove the vaccine works, particularly since transmission has dropped significantly in Britain, in addition to any potential manufacturing complications.

He was unable to provide any initial data from the earlier trial, explaining that the trial was designed to be blinded, meaning the researchers don’t know which volunteers have received the experimental vaccine; those results are shared with a safety and monitoring oversight board. So far, there have not been any indications of worrying side effects.

When the vaccine was tested in monkeys, researchers found it protected them against pneumonia, suggesting that it could help to prevent severe disease in people, Pollard said. He said it was still an open question whether it could make a dent in how the disease is spread between people.

Earlier this week, drugmaker AstraZeneca said it had secured its first agreements for 400 million doses of the Oxford-developed vaccine, bolstered by a $1 billion investment from a U.S. government agency, for the development, production and delivery of the vaccine, starting in the fall.

Other experts welcomed the AstraZeneca investment, but noted there was still no proof the Oxford-developed vaccine would ultimately succeed.

Lawrence Young of the University of Warwick said the investment would hopefully help make the vaccine available globally, including in developing countries. But he said the vaccine’s efficacy in humans was still unclear, citing its failure to stop monkeys from becoming infected.

“This raises serious questions about the ability of this vaccine to protect against infection in humans and to prevent virus transmission,” he said in a statement. “We need to be urgently exploring other vaccine candidates.”

"Hong Kong People, Resist!" - Pro-Democracy Protests Against China Security Law Slated For Weekend

Hong Kong is bracing for a new wave of demonstrations this weekend after China said it's preparing to impose national security legislation on the financial hub, a move that shows Beijing's legal force and will likely reignite tensions between pro-democracy protesters and the government.

Sources told the Financial Times that China's parliament would draft the new legislation and submit it immediately into Hong Kong's constitution. China's National People's Congress released an agenda Thursday saying it wants to "improve" national security protections in Hong Kong by curbing acts of treason, secession, sedition, and subversion. The measure would also allow for counter-terrorism operations against foreign interference in the city.

The legislation, slated for passage in the National People's Congress in Beijing next week, drew angry crowds in Hong Kong on Friday, and President Trump warned Thursday that the US would react "very strongly" to the planned legislation.
