Infiltrates a host and ‘hijacks’ or repurposes functionality in order to reproduce.
Medically:
A microscopic (invisible) infectious agent that infiltrates host cells and repurposes cell function to produce copies of itself.
Example - COVID-19
Geo-politically:
Infiltration and subversion of key national institutions by malevolent foreign agents and/or corrupt domestic agents for the purpose of conquest or destruction of the host nation.
Infiltration is undertake stealthily (invisibly) in order to avoid alerting the host and the deployment of effective ‘counter-measures’ and because the target is often too strong to overcome by overt attack.
Key institutional targets for infiltration and subversion include:- the body politic, education, media, judiciary, intelligence, military, law enforcement, energy, finance, health-care etc.
Examples - Communist Chinese, Islamic, Zionist, Russian & Nazi infiltration of the West in particular the USA.
