Apologies if this has been caught previously. In Q's previous link to a scanned news article about how the CIA employed journalists I began to dig on some of the names. Interesting stuff here and hard to summarize but I will try:

Basically it seems the "good guy takedown" happened largely in post WW2, seems to have really picked up in the 1970s and continued onwards. Phil Agee is an interesting character to study because it describes exactly "how" this takedown works. Interestingly enough, the fact that he continued to get CIA operative names funneled to him via KGB indicate that the agency itself had been compromised from the inside. So basically Communists have been infiltrating all the countries of the West and that's why "The Farm" requires you to speak Russia (b/c KGB).
