New York Sent More Than 4,500 Coronavirus Patients Into Nursing Homes After Cuomo Order: AP

New York nursing homes were forced to accept more than 4,500 coronavirus patients from hospitals thanks to an order from Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, a tally by The Associated Press found.

Cuomo has come under heated criticism for his March 25 order forcing recovering COVID-19 patients into New York nursing homes — a decision blamed for the state’s high body count among the elderly. The governor waited roughly six weeks before reversing the order on May 10.

The New York State Department of Health refused to release the results of an internal survey on how many coronavirus patients were placed in nursing homes across the state, the AP reported.

The health department is knowingly under-counting the number of nursing home deaths as a result of a quiet rule change made in late April, a department spokesman previously acknowledged following a Daily Caller News Foundation investigation.

The state changed the rules for counting nursing home deaths between April 28 and May 3, after Cuomo faced scrutiny for ordering nursing homes to accept coronavirus patients.

Until at least April 28, the health department was disclosing coronavirus deaths of all nursing home and adult care facility residents, regardless of whether the patient died at their long-term care facility or at a hospital.

By May 3, the state had made a subtle change to its disclosures, web archives show. The health department now only discloses coronavirus deaths of long-term care patients who died while physically present at their facility.

Put differently: A nursing home resident, who became sick at their nursing home and then died shortly after arriving at a hospital, is omitted from New York’s tally of nursing home deaths.

The end result is a sharp reduction in the official number of deaths at many such facilities. New York is the only state with a major coronavirus outbreak in nursing homes to report those fatalities that way.

Governor Whitmer Sent COVID-19 Patients Across the State to ‘Regional Hubs’ to Spread the Virus — But Kept Patients Out of 1,000 Bed TCF Center in Detroit

Governor Gretchen Whitmer (D-MI) is not just an power-hungry tyrant.

She’s an idiot.

A deadly idiot.

The Trump administration mobilized the US Army Corps of Engineers in March to hire private contractors and build emergency field hospitals around the country.

The cost of the facilities was reportedly $660 million.

This was because top US medical “experts” based their decisions using garbage coranavirus models.

The TPC Center in Detroit was set up to hold 1,000 coronavirus patients.

It only saw 39 patients in the several weeks it was open for business.

Instead of using this center in Detroit, Governor Whitmer’s administration set up “regional hubs” to hold coronavirus patients.

And Governor Whitmer sent these coronavirus cases across the state to nursing homes.

On April 15, Governor Gretchen Whitmer signed Executive Order 2020-50. The order required nursing homes to care for any current residents who test positive for COVID-19 but aren’t sick enough to require hospitalization, in a dedicated area of the facility.

Nursing homes are getting paid handsomely for taking in the coronavius patients.

Whitmer’s administration offered $5,000 per patient they took in.

So the coronavirus patients were spread out across the state thanks to Governor Gretchen Whitmer.

100% Fed Up reported on how Whitmer moved coronavirus patients to northern Michigan to seed the communities with the virus.

Local 4 reported on Whitmer’s deadly practices.

And now we know that a 20-year-old boxer was moved to a Michigan nursing home where he beat an elderly man bloody and filmed the entire assault.

Oops! Trump's Press Secretary Accidentally Discloses POTUS Bank Details

US President Donald Trump each year donates his $100,000 quarterly salary to a government agency, which, this year, is the Department of Health and Human Services.

During a White House press briefing, Donald Trump's press secretary, Kayleigh McEnany, happened to show the original $100,000 check from the president's bank account, revealing both his private account and routing numbers. The check confirmed that POTUS has stuck to his tradition of donating his salary to government agencies, but the account and routing details are not meant to be publicly shown.

https://youtu.be/iRlmTZ59hqs

Such information can possibly be used to withdraw or deposit money, or even hack the bank account. However, the chief executive of the Identity Theft Resource Center, Eva Velasquez, is sure that, despite the need for such details to remain private, the bank was "most certain" to have additional protections for a president's account.

"This is one of those situations where setting the example is very important. It’s very important for your average person to understand this is not a best practice", Velasquez said.

$100,000 from Trump went this year to the Department of Health and Human Service to “support the efforts being undertaken to confront, contain and combat the coronavirus.”

Farage Tells Breitbart: I’ll Keep Exposing the Illegal Migrant Boats Scandal in English Channel

Brexit leader Nigel Farage told Breitbart News about the viral success of his drive to expose the emerging scandal of illegal migrant boats crossing the English Channel, aided by the apparent collusion of the British and French governments, promising to keep reporting on the phenomenon.

Speaking to Breitbart editor in chief Alex Marlow on the Friday edition of the Breitbart News Daily show on Sirius XM Patriot, Brexit veteran turned journalist and broadcaster Nigel Farage related his recent experiences on and off England’s South coast. Explaining how the growing issue of boat migrants arriving in England — a relatively new form of illegal migration to the United Kingdom, first gaining prominence in 2016, around the time of the Europe Migrant Crisis — had for too long been underplayed or ignored by the mainstream media, Mr Farage said he’d taken to driving to the coast and even going to sea to record the reality.

Mr Farage said: “It began in 2016 with a few hundred people coming across in these small boats, but it has now reached a more serious level. Since lockdown on the 23rd of March, over 1,000 — that we know of — have been stopped crossing the English channel, and many others have arrived in the dead of night and simply disappeared… I’d picked up gossip and rumours about a degree of collusion between the French and the British governments, so I set out over the course of the last three weeks to try and raise the issue.”

Over the course of a couple of weeks, Mr Farage was able to film migrant boats and UK border force craft bringing illegals ashore, and was on the first boat to meet an illegal boat mid-channel, monitoring its progress before handing it over to the authorities. But perhaps the most sensational development was Mr Farage filming the long-rumoured “hand over” of migrants from a French government vessel to a UK government vessel mid-English Channel.

Further research by Breitbart London using transponder data from ships in the English Channel has confirmed the meeting took place, and furthermore that the French patrol boat involved had made another handover days before, operating within four and a half miles of the English coast off Pett Level.

While the British government has since strenuously asserted that the mid-sea transaction was in accordance with international maritime law and that no collaboration took place, the new evidence has been seen to have spoken for itself.

Mr Farage claimed in his original expose that his craft had been threatened separately by both the British and French ships in the Channel for being present and filming the proceedings, events which he elaborated upon in his Breitbart News Daily interview. He told Alex Marlow: “I witnessed a French naval vessel literally escorting one of these inflatable dinghies across the line from French waters to British waters, where they literally handed it over to a British border forces vessel.

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer extends lockdown order for the fifth time — through June 12

The Democrat suggested several ways Michiganders can 'enjoy' Memorial Day at home, such as trying 'a meditation'

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D) extended her strict and controversial coronavirus lockdown of the state for a fifth time on Friday, continuing her unilateral dictate through June 12.

Apparently realizing her three-week extension of the "Stay Home, Stay Safe" order would crush some Memorial Day plans, the governor also released a list of ways Michiganders could "enjoy" the holiday weekend while remaining in compliance with the mandates.

What are the details?

WJBK-TV reported that Whitmer extended her order on Friday evening at around 5:00 p.m., just as the Memorial Day weekend kicked off. The decision impacts "certain places of public accommodations such as theaters, gyms, and casinos."

The outlet reported that "also on Friday, businesses in the upper peninsula and parts of the lower peninsula were allowed to reopen and operate in a limited capacity" — a decision "Republicans have pressed for weeks, despite Whitmer's emphasis on maintaining blanket bans on business across the state.

The governor also extended the statewide State of Emergency until June 19.

Whitmer said in a statement, "While the data shows that we are making progress, we are not out of the woods yet. If we're going to lower the chance of a second wave and continue to protect our neighbors and loves ones from the spread of this virus, we must continue to do our part by staying safer at home."

She added, "If we open too soon, thousands more could die and our hospitals will get overwhelmed. While we finally have more protective equipment like masks, we can't run the risk of running low again."

As of Friday, Michigan had nearly 54,000 confirmed cases of COVID-19, and more than 5,150 deaths from the virus.

Anything else?

Around the same time as the governor's announcement, she posted two messages on Twitter providing stay-at-home and social distancing activities compiled by her office, as suggestions for how Michiganders could spend their time over the weekend since many traditional Memorial Day activities are prohibited this year.

The first message shared a link to the state's Pinterest account, showing "ideas for [at-home] games, crafts, grilling and more."

In the second post, Whitmer wrote, "We know that this year's Memorial Day weekend will look a bit different than before, but there are still plenty of ways to enjoy the holiday weekend and honor those who died in military service while keeping our communities safe."

She included a flyer showing options for stay-at-home activities, such as getting outside, ordering takeout, or thanking "veterans by putting a homemade sign or decoration in your yard or window." Recognizing that "this unprecedented time has been stressful for many," the governor also suggested citizens "take some time to read a book, watch your favorite show, or try a meditation."

UK: School apologizes after 11-year-old students asked to define ‘hardcore pornography’

A British school has apologized after children as young as 11-years-old were asked to define terms like hardcore pornography, transsexual pornography, sexting, and other explicit topics.

Earlier this week, parents were outraged after they found out teachers at the Archibishop Sentamu Academy in Hull had asked their children to define such terms as a part of their Personal, Social, and Health Education class, the Daily Mail reports.

In addition to being asked questions about alcohol, drugs, and smoking, the children were asked to define terms like wet dreams, breast ironing, revenge porn, male circumcision, soft pornography and more.

Mrs. Taylor, a 34-year-old mother of one of the students, told the newspaper how triggered she was after picking up her daughter’s assignment.

“My daughter is still very much a child, we’ve still got magic elves, her bedroom is done in My Little Pony. She is very innocent and naïve,” she said.

“She was only in primary school last year living her best life, now she is being asked to search for hardcore pornography.”

Mrs. Taylor said she fears what would’ve happened had her daughter actually typed the terms into the Google search bar and seen the results.

“I don’t think she would have coped well with it if she had seen it,” she said.

“If that was me as a kid and I did that, I’d do it and I’d think I’d done something wrong and I wouldn’t know how to tell my mam what I’d seen.”

Leon Dagan, a 25-year-old brother of one of the students, said he was “appalled” when saw his 13-year-old sister’s homework.

“I get sex education is vital in anyone’s life but when there’s raw topics like this it’s something else,” Dagan said.

The school was forced to issue an apology for what had happened after social media posts about the homework assignment began to attract international attention.

“I am genuinely sorry if parents or students have unnecessarily researched any of these phrases and for any offence caused,” Chay Bell, the academy’s principle wrote, spuriously insisting that the students were not asked to search for the terms online.

“Students were not directed to research these topics themselves on the internet because all the answers to the questions students posed were contained in the teacher-produced materials we shared.”

“Again, I am genuinely sorry for any upset caused at this difficult time.”

Australia's COVID-19 inquiry presents a roadmap for a new world order

Scott Morrison and Marise Payne were almost two weeks into their campaign for an independent global review into the coronavirus when they suddenly had a key decision to make.

On April 28, the European Union announced it was pressing ahead with a motion at the World Health Assembly calling for an evaluation of the global pandemic, which was ravaging countries all over the world.

It was nowhere near what the Australian Prime Minister and his Foreign Minister had been proposing for the past few weeks. Without warning other countries, Payne went on the ABC's Insiders program on April 18 calling for an independent investigation into the origins and early handling of the coronavirus outbreak, a stance that infuriated China.

Morrison and Payne insisted on the review being separate from the World Health Organisation, after it had been criticised for acting too slowly in the early stages of the outbreak and being too close to the Chinese government. Now, they could either continue to press ahead with their own version of an inquiry, or join forces with the EU.

Senior officials within the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade were the first to realise the potential of turning the EU motion into something which could more closely resemble Morrison and Payne's idea of an independent inquiry. With the motion to be presented at a meeting of the WHO's governing body in three weeks' time, they saw this as their best option.

Led by Australia's ambassador to the United Nations in Geneva, Sally Mansfield, Australian diplomats in Switzerland began working with the Europeans on strengthening the motion, which was first put forward by the EU on April 15. When the EU's ambassador to Australia, Michael Pulch, first learnt that the Australians were serious about working with them, he fed the information back to Europe.

"The head of our delegation in Geneva came back to me and said he was working very closely and very efficiently with the Australian counterpart, so I think at an early stage we were already forming a team that was working together," Pulch tells the Sydney Morning Herald and The Age.

"My impression was that Australia made a strategic decision that it was the best way forward for Australia to actually back the European motion, and then try to toughen it up in one or two areas, and that was probably a winning formula."

From then on, Pulch says, the EU and Australia worked together on a "good cop, bad cop" routine in a bid to get more countries on board. This week, the resolution passed the assembly with a record 145 co-sponsors, including China.

There are now a few burning questions. Firstly, how did the EU and Australia marshal the support for an independent inquiry, effectively sidelining the world's two major powers? And stuck between a rising authoritarian power and an erratic US President who appears increasingly disengaged from the world, does this week mark a new way forward? Can middle powers save multilateral organisations like the WHO from themselves and prevent countries from looking inward and reverting to nationalist power politics?

He says this week's events marked a "prestigious moment for Australia", with the nation showing itself to be a leader in "creative and constructive diplomacy", and it could now leverage this soft power to continue to influence multilateral organisations.

"The EU was very important in terms of putting forward the original resolution. It is about the overwhelming body of countries wanting this investigation and the Australian government captured not just the mood in this country, but captured a mood globally - it's how all governments felt," Downer says.

Payne says the motion was about "collaborating to equip the international community to better prevent or counter the next pandemic and keep our citizens safe".

"Australia has been clear and transparent in our actions and we have sought transparency and openness in the wake of the greatest global crisis since World War II," Payne says. "This approach has helped us to gain significant international support, building on Australia's strong track record in containing COVID-19 at home."

One of the big concerns about the WHO's performance during the global pandemic was its lack of resources and powers. Morrison has suggested the UN body should have the powers of weapons inspectors to forcibly enter countries to investigate outbreaks.

Lowy Institute executive director Michael Fullilove says the reason that the WHO's powers are limited is because its member states have never wanted to be subject to more powers. "And so the reason it's hard to get a weapons inspector model up is that most nation states don't want to give an international organisation that power to come into their own territory and examine their entrails," Fullilove says.

"And so, when a crisis happens, we all say 'these institutions are weak'. But before the crisis, we wanted them to be weak or we allowed them to be weak. We didn't fund them properly."

Fullilove says the WHO's director-general, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, has been too deferential to China, overlooking its mistakes and not pushing it hard enough for answers early on in the outbreak.

Still looking for a bogeyman? Moscow slams US State Dept after it posts $250,000 grant to ‘expose Russian health disinformation’

Instead of casting grudges aside to fight the coronavirus, anti-Russia elements in the US are striving to make the Kremlin a scapegoat, Moscow has said, decrying the new US grant to “expose Russian health disinformation.”

The Russian Foreign Ministry has issued a rebuke to the US Department of State over its newly-published grant notice on Friday. The grant “opportunity” will see a hefty sum of money – some $250,000 – awarded to “an organization with experience in counter Russian disinformation, analysis and programming,” which will have to “produce a report on Russian and Soviet health-related disinformation campaigns” under the watchful eye of “subject matter experts” from the State Department’ Russia Directorate. The prospective contractors will have till June 20 to apply for the grant.

The ministry said that such a move at a time when all countries should be pooling efforts to combat the Covid-19 outbreak has revealed the true colors of those in charge of the US State Department’s day-to-day operations.

The ministry argued that the State Department staffers seem to be “working their own program,” paying little attention to the signals coming from US President Donald Trump, who has recently greenlighted a shipment of 200 ventilators to Russia, the first 50 of which arrived in Moscow on Thursday. The life-saving equipment is part of a $5.6 million “humanitarian donation” the US has earmarked to Russia. Moscow has said it’s “grateful” for the help, having itself sent a planeload of medical supplies and equipment, including face masks and ventilators to coronavirus-hit New York in early April.

Hailing the mutual assistance, the State Department also struck a reconciliatory tone, with a spokesperson telling CNBC on Tuesday that the US “seeks a better relationship with Russia on many fronts,” adding that both countries “will no doubt” provide humanitarian assistance to each other again if such a need arises.

The mixed signals coming from the US show that “powerful Russophobes” still wield much clout both in Washington and within the American government, “never ceasing to engage in the destructive activity,” the foreign ministry said.

Wouldn't it be more useful to allocate this $250,000 to the countries in need of assistance, to save someone’s life?

The likely targets of the future “counter-disinformation” campaign will be the Russian media, such as RT and Sputnik, the ministry predicted. While the Russian outlets have been repeatedly accused of spreading fake news over the pandemic by mainstream media in the West, the allegations have so far rung hollow, with a recent report by a UK watchdog pointing out that such claims against RT are based on bad methodology.
