Zacarias Moussaoui, the only man ever convicted in the US for his role in 11 September, 2001, terrorist attacks has now announced that he renounces terrorism, Al-Qaeda and Daesh.

Currently serving a life sentence at a federal prison in Colorado, having escaped the death penalty in his 2006 trial, Moussaoui also denounced Al-Qaeda’s late leader Osama Bin Laden in a hand-written court motion, which he filed with a federal court last month.

“I denounce, repudiate Osama Bin Laden as a useful idiot of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA)/Saudi. I also proclaim unequivocally my opposition to any terrorist action, attack, propaganda against the US,” Moussaoui wrote.

He also hopes: “To warn young Muslims against the deception and the manipulation of these fake jihadis.”

Moussaoui’s renunciation is part of his petition in seeking relaxation of the conditions under which he currently serves his sentence. In 2015, he also claimed that Al-Qaeda received support from some of the most senior members of the Saudi royal family.

The FBI conducted a raid on Friday of the offices of Del Records, a label based in Bell Gardens that is famous for producing narco music.

A SWAT team was brought in to execute the search warrant, which is being kept under seal. Video taken by a bystander showed agents appearing to force open the front door and using a flash-bang device.

No arrests were made, and the FBI declined to comment on the investigation.

Del Records is in a high-profile legal dispute with Gerardo Ortiz, a norteño singer-songwriter famous for his narco ballads. In 2019, Del Records sued the singer, alleging that he had insisted on being paid for performances in cash so as to evade taxes. The suit also stated that Ortiz had long had problems with the Internal Revenue Service, and that the label had once had to lend him money to pay his back taxes.

Ortiz issued a statement through his company, Badsin Entertainment, claiming that the agents had also searched the home of the label’s CEO, Jose Angel del Villar.

“To our knowledge the search by the FBI at Del Records office and Mr. Del Villar’s home does not involve Mr. Ortiz,” Ortiz’s company said.

Del Records’ representative could not confirm or deny whether Del Villar’s home was searched. An FBI spokeswoman confirmed that a home in Huntington Beach was searched, but declined to say who lives there. Public records, however, link the address to Del Villar.

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) – A Beverly Hills man and the founder of independent Hollywood film distribution company Aviron Pictures was arrested Friday by the FBI on allegations that he fraudulently received $1.7 million through the federal government’s paycheck protection program.

According to the Justice Department, Sadleir received three different PPP loans worth a total of $1.7 million for three different Aviron entities.

Within days of the loans being approved by JPMorgan Chase and wired, about $1 million were then diverted into Sadleir’s personal accounts, which he used to pay off credit cards, car loans and for other personal expenses for himself and his wife, the U.S. Attorney’s Office reports.

He is also facing separate federal charges out of New York on allegations he stole $30 million from an investor while he was with Aviron Pictures, according to Variety.
