Yes, but we are to be conformed to the likeness of Christ by the renewing of our minds and hearts. That means becoming holy, even as God is holy. The Law is not our means of salvation, for all have fallen short; but by the inward operation of the Holy Spirit the Law becomes written on the tablets of the human heart, becoming by God’s grace our way of becoming God’s renewed people. The grace of God in Jesus Christ is not a license for wanton disregard of God’s Law; rather grace extends to our true inward transformation, from glory to glory, into His likeness. And if we become like Him, we will ineluctably become keepers of the Law in increasing measure.

 

Salvation is transformation. For Protestants, that means Sanctification is not an optional extra.
