I rather like the theory by someone - forget where I saw it - that, because Alabama has an open primary and Dems vote in Republican primaries to get the most liberal GOPer, like happens here in SC with Lindsey Graham, POTUS is pushing Turbeville so that Dems will vote for Sessions.
