Quick hunt for info on Pubmed and I found a huge increase in the amount of technical jargon. Almost as if people were afraid that their work would be widely understood. That, to me, is a sign of science being suppressed.
But this is interesting…
There is an increasing interest in ligands of nucleic acid-sensing Toll-like receptors (TLR), especially TLR7 and TLR9, for pharmacological intervention in various diseases. The TLR7 agonist imiquimod is currently used as a topical treatment for genital warts caused by human papillomavirus (HPV),
TLR7 agonists treat HPV.
TLR7/9 antagonists, such as the antimalaria drugs chloroquine, hydroxychloroquine and quinacrine,
HCQ is a TLR7 agonist. Hmmm.
In another paper I see this…
In Medicaid, there were 46 cases among immunosuppressive drugs users and 29 cases in hydroxychloroquine users (hazard ratio 1.24, 95% CI 0.78-1.98, hydroxychloroquine = ref). The pooled hazard ratio of immunosuppressive drugs was 1.40 (95% CI 0.92-2.12). Conclusion Among women with systemic lupus erythematosus, immunosuppressive drugs may be associated with a greater, albeit not statistically significant, risk of high-grade cervical dysplasia and cervical cancer compared to patients receiving hydroxychloroquine alone.
Lupus patients taking HCQ daily have a lower risk of cervical cancer.

OK, let's get this closer to plain English.
Malaria is a disease caused by single-celled organisms called protists. They are not animal(bacteria), plant or fungus(yeast).
A number of drugs, including several that contain quinoline in their molecule, kill protists. They also happen to kill viruses. HPV is a virus.
There are 100s of studies comparing various drugs ability to kill or inhibit various viruses. For obvious reasons, investigating HPV is dangerous because Big Pharma makes too much money on it to allow a cure.
But times change, and people are looking at what else these protist-killers can do. However, there are no magic bullets. It is complex and you will need to get a physician to work with you on it.
If you have not watched all the episodes of the Good Doctor, and you have a medical problem that doctors can't seem to fix, then you probably have a death wish.
Watch the shows, pay attention to the behavior of the physicians, especially pay attention to how the study medical journals looking for ideas and justifications to make a case to their bosses.
Pubmed has all the content that those medical journals do. You may never understand even half of what is written an article,so get a physician who can understand it to work with you.TEAMWORK equals WINNING
