Fox News was shit to begin with. It's was created as containment method in response to the rising populism associated with Perot, Buchanan, and the Old Right conservatives who pushed back against the neoconservative takeover of the right and the Republican Party. They wanted a sensible foreign policy, strong borders, etc…and the Bush clan and establishment takeover of the party needed a way to squash them and transform conservatism into a neocon vehicle to support their wars and open borders. Enter Fox News…by going all out against the Clintons, they were able to fold in mainstream America and slowly get them to throw in with the new Republican establishment…then 9/11 happened and the rest is history.
They've been that way ever since, targeting the portion of divided American that hated abortion and cultural marxism and getting them to continue to support the neocon agenda. Then along came Trump…
Now they've been holding back to preserve the ear of their audience, but very soon, they will be forced to show their true colors, and turn on Trump BIG TIME (no, this has happened yet)…look for a major personality to get canned (my bet is on Tucker).
