Update on Iranian tankers heading for Venezuela
Ok guise, FORTUNE is about 2 hours away from port. Her destination is Puerto Cabello. She is about 20nm out and doing 14 kts, so call it 2 to 3 hours and she will be moored. She is also inside Venezuelan territorial waters. Looks like she's gonna get thru. Cap related.
FOREST is off scope right now. She's in a dead zone between Barbados and Grenada where no signals are detected by coastal AIS. Based on her last known course and speed, she's somewhere in the area of the red circle on the 2nd cap. I caught a brief trace of an unnamed tanker showing the right heading in that area, but it dropped off when the screen refreshed.
No signs of any Veener Navy patrol vessels. I suspect some folks are breathing a sigh of relief that we're letting them get thru. Nada on PETUNIA, FAXON and CLAVEL yet.
