On this day of Remembrance of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice, I ask all of you to keep Captain Hopper and His family in your thoughts and prayers. Instead of ejecting from his aircraft and saving his own life, Captain Hopper elected to pilot the B-57 to the ground killing himself. In doing this, he saved countless lives whom would have certainly perished from the crash and subsequent explosion from ordnance stored on the nearby military base.
Many years ago, no name was approached with hopes of bringing Captain Hopper's sacrifice to the media's attention with zero luck. no name wanted nothing to do with it. Obviously with everything this anon knows now, it makes perfect sense why.
Maybe one day Captain Hopper will receive the recognition and honors He deserves.
Captain Hopper gave his own life so that others may live theirs.
