I've been trying to come up with a philosophical strategy (in my mind - as yet untested) to modify the thinking of highly resistant normies - coz like most people here, my extended family and friends are full of them.

The best I can come up with so far is to assure normies that they don't have to change a principle or a strongly held political belief system. They don't have to change a thing about themselves to become awake. All they have to do is listen to a few truths that will prove those they most believed never genuinely shared any of their principles or beliefs. And to assure them that once they let a sliver of evidence in that challenges the integrity of their heroes…… there is no going back. The first step - hard. The next steps - easy.

But the important point/hurdle seems to be finding a way of not blaming them for the faults of their heroes. Now I know in practice, that's a damn hard thing to do!!!! Must try harder.

Sometimes I've mused on the possibility that there I see an unnamed General as Potus right now and perhaps has been for longer than people imagine. Sometimes that thought comes into my head.

What did Meryl Streep slyly say in an interview a few years back? I paraphrase: whatever the generals say.

Quirky comment at the time
